Date new versions published June 20 Planned review date December 201 Summary of review and consultation process These unit standards were reviewed because they had reached their planned review date. onsultation meetings were held between industry representatives from the Reel-Fed and Sheet-Fed sectors and members of MITO to discuss the changes required to the unit standards and qualifications. At these meetings, the attendees considered: The currency of the unit standards. The accuracy and appropriateness of the content of the unit standards. How the levels and credit values correspond to the outcomes of the unit standards. Any gaps in skills and/or knowledge that could be filled by the development of new unit standards. It was established that the unit standards in the Printing - Reel-Fed domain required considerable change and it was agreed that, where practical, unit standards that covered each of the Reel-fed processes should be combined and replaced with single unit standards that covered all processes. The unit standards in the Printing - Sheet-Fed domain were considered and some unit standards were combined and replaced with new unit standards that better suit changes in industry requirements. Unit standards 66, 68, 70, and 72 were designated expiring because they are no longer required by industry. These unit standards are included in the National ertificate in Printing (Printing Sheet-fed: Letterpress) (Level ) [Ref: 000] which is under review. Unit standards 7 and 712 were also designated expiring because they are no longer required by industry. Unit standard 261 replaced unit standard The credit value of unit standard 1622 increased from 2 to. Unit standard 227 was replaced with new unit standard 2617 which is registered under the Printing Production domain. The title of unit standard 1626 was updated and the level and credit value increased to level, credits. New unit standard 2616 was created. Unit standard 162 was designated expiring because it is no longer required by industry. Printing Sheet-fed domain Unit standards 2618 and 2619 replaced unit standards 7, 711, 712, 71, and 71. Unit standard 2620 replaced unit standards 71 and 716. Unit standard 2621 replaced unit standard 202. The title of unit standard 920 was updated. The title of unit standard 1609 was updated and the level and credit value increased to level, credits. New unit standard 2622 was created. Unit standards, 66, 68, 70, 72, 717, and 718 were designated expiring because they are no longer required by industry. Unit standards categorised as category or D expire at the end of December 201.
