3 Messages From Librarian Dear readers I am happy to share my thoughts with you. I am working as librarian since 4986, till this date our team has made tremendous change our library under the guidance of our Late President Hon. Ankushrao Tope Saheb, Scretary Hon. Rajesh Tope, Administrative officer Dr. B.R. Gaikwad & our Principal Dr. Rajendra Gaikwad. Considering the library role in higher education. It plays an important role in the development of students & faculty. It is bridge between the teaching & learning process. Hence libraries are primary source in Learning Process. Our library is a connecting link between teaching & learning as well as place which provide resource is what is beyond class room. It serves the user by providing specific information of the user interest. MSS Ankushrao Tope College, of Arts, Commerce and Science Established in the year 1983 previously. It was MSS Arts, Commerce & Science College, Jalna & now the renamed as MSS Ankushrao Tope College, Jalna. The institute has central and departmental libraries. The central library procured 1800 books at the time of beginning of the college, presently the library has more than books in general, 768 Bound volumes of Journals 97 Periodical, 120 CDS & DVDs etc. Library has Inflibnet N-List online Journal & Remote Access of BAMU, Aurangabad. Library is fully computerized with SOUL2.0 Software since All software modules Except serials are ran successfully. WEB-OPAC Facility is also available for all students and staff. The library has e-library with 6 computer with broadband internet service free of cost. Several Best practices adopted of maximum use of library by students & staff are like annual best user award, Library orientation feedback, set of books for meritorious students etc.

The strength of institute depends on its infrastructure, faculty and students. Considering this the institution has given more attention to the library. Today the institution has its won specious library building of 6500sq.ft. with all facilities. This is one of the biggest library in this region. It can accommodate near 170 readers at a time. It is continuously developing. There are Number of reference books like Encyclopedias, Dictionaries, Biographical Books, Year Books, Journals, Bound Volumes, Competitive Exam related books, General & Text books etc.

10 ICT IT INFRASTRUCTURE (ICT) Library is automated with the help of SOUL 2.0 library software. Central Library is a part of the institute. The library is connected to the BSNL's Broad Band Internet bandwidth. The library has 1 server, 6 PCs and other accessories adequate to cater to the needs of users. 4 PCs are for home lending section in the library. 1 PC is meant for users to access OPAC, databases, e-books, e-journals and other e-resources. 24 READING ROOM FACILITY READING ROOM FACILITY Library reading room facility provide to the users. Reading room capacity is 160 users at time. The textbooks / course books as recommended by the faculty are kept in the library Reading room Section at the circulation counter. These books can be used only in the library against Identity Card. Students can borrow one book at a time from this collection for on-premises up to the closing of the library on same day. A late fee of Rs per day is charged for overdue book. USER AWARENESS PROGRAM USER AWARENESS PROGRAM The library takes an active part in the orientation programme organized by the institute for the benefit of new students in the beginning of academic year. They are taken around the library to familiarize them with various resources and services available for them. Any user desiring to know more about library resources and service or to learn how to use a particular resource like OPAC, e-journals, databases etc. should contact Librarian or Library staff, Reference service.
