1 SAG DECEMBER 2012 NEWSLETTER SPRINGFIELD ART GUILD JOIN US FOR OUR ANNUAL HOLIDAY PARTY On Wednesday December. 12, 2012 at the Richard Byrd Library The party starts at 7 p.m., cocktail type affair with finger foods. A warning will be given at 7:45 p.m. so that bids can be finalized before the 8 p.m. closing. SAG members are to bring creatively wrapped Silent Auction WHITE ELEPHANT items with something of value inside. There are no special items required, like art supplies, though that would be fun. A mug and some freshly baked brownies would be one gift I d like to win! Vases, jewelry, dolls, ties, books, art, etc. Use your imagination as you look around your home to see what you once loved but can now part with! One sealed envelope of Bidding Bucks will be given to each SAG member bringing an auction item or items regardless of how many items he or she brings. Extra items have a designated purpose, so bring them! Winning Bids will be announced, three, four or more at the same time so as to speed up the distribution. At that time, to insure that one s name can be heard, please keep the excitement volume turned down. Seriously. Afterwards, a surprise awaits for SAG s guests and in order to carry off the surprise, I need to know how many will be attending. Jackie Allen, Hospitality RSVP: , Prefer: jackieallen22153@aol.com Our next meeting will be on Wednesday Decmber 12th -7 PM at the Richard Byrd Library, 7250 Commerce St., Springfield, VA The recently renovated library is located near the intersection of Old Keene Mill and Commerce St Our newsletter is published monthly and archived issues can be found on our website at: Inside this month Franconia Government Center Show Page 2 The SAG DVD library Page 4
