1 Second Nine Weeks STUDENT ASSIGNMENT CREATING - EDITING - PUBLISHING A BOOK ANALYSIS Student Assignment SECOND NINE WEEKS: Our goal Write Using ALL Narrative Ingredients: create compelling characters and dialogue, correctly use clauses and phrases, vary sentences simple and compound, and create a plot that presents a natural sequence of events. Before turning in your paper, you will identify and highlight every SIMPLE and COMPOUND sentence used. Students you will create a 2-paragraph story that you will turn in EVERY Tuesday. 1. Read 20 minutes every day from a book you enjoy/love that is NEW to you, and ONLY has a FEW pictures at most. Complete this reading throughout the school week. 2. On Saturday and Sunday write your NARRATIVE, BE SURE you respond to the prompt you select. Write the number of the prompt on the top left-hand corner of your paper you can find this number on the choice board. 3. Keep all NARRATIVES in a special FOLDER where they WILL NOT be lost. 4. Be sure that you immediately place your finished NARRATIVE from the weekend in this spot every time you work on it. 5. Be ready to turn in your paper on Monday, and I will collect them on Tuesday. This will greatly reduce stress on this assignment. DUE The same day of the week each week of the entire grading period. CHANGES - Choose from the appropriate choice board. You realize that the day is repeating, and have to figure out how to get out of the cycle. 4 You are a neglected god or goddess who is attempting to gain control of Earth. a. The main character of the book you are reading will join together with you in the hopes of becoming a god or goddess as well. 7 You and the main character are both in love with the same person. 8 You hate the main characters love interest and you have to get them away from that person before something bad happens. 11 Are in the Civil War. a.
