2 About Me... I completed a 5 year diploma in applied arts from Abhinav Kala Mahavidyalaya, Pune, after Metric where I learnt advertising, photography and did specialisation in illustration. During my 4th year I joined Elephant Design as a trainee for 5 months, was exposed to various areas of graphic design like, book design, exhibition design, corporate identity design, etc... During 5th year I had an opportunity to work part-time under Gargi Sharma, an ex-nid student who is one of the founders of Elephant Design. During this time I mostly worked on packaging and branding. After Diploma, I immediately joined Tata Consultancy Services as a retainer under the Internal branding and marketing team, headed by Gargi. Worked there for three months before getting admission in IDC. After coming to IDC I was exposed to design in a broader perspective. I learnt animation, typography, design and form, semantics, syntactic, photography etc... These subjects were taught to us correspondingly and thus helped in changing the way I think, making it wider. In this portfolio I have put together the work done by me that I found interesting. This work mainly contains graphic design, illustration, advertising and photography.

3 Graphic Design... Corporate Identity, Print and Advertising

4 Corporate Identity Programme This was a assignment done during the final year of applied arts. The main aim of this assignment was to understand the elements involved in designing a corporate identity of a company. Pyramid Mega store, Pune Trees and arches, Interior designers, Pune Letterhead, visiting card, envelope, price tags.

5 Poster Design Poster for adult education- College Assignment(5th year of Applied Arts) This was a poster that I designed for the competition held by Maharashtra Institute of adult education. In this poster we had to promote a thought for those people who hardly know how to read and write. We had to tell them that education can make their life much better and happier. Hence I showed a poor yet educated woman teaching her daughter, thus making her educated. Size full mount Poster designed for ICOGRADA, Design Local as a assignment in 2nd semester of M.des( IDC)

6 Advertising Campaign Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital (mini campaign) This was a assignment given to us in 2nd semester of 4th year (advance commercial). We had to take a subject and redesign corporate identity (stationary) and a mini campaign for that subject. I took Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital as my subject,as I had never worked on a service based subject. 8 Book Design This project is done in IDC. The project- This is a print based, book design project. The book is about an artist, and is called Journey of an Artist. I had to decide the content and design the book as well. Through this project I have tried to explore and observe various grid patterns and different formats used for different type of books. These observations have helped me while designing my own book. Getting the content of the book right, was another task that had to be taken care of. Being the author of the book it was my job to decide where and when will a particular article appear in the book. I had to take help of a editor and a translator to finalise the text, as the content was written in marathi language. This project has taught me to handle a print project individually.

17 Story book illustration- This was a very interesting assignment. I had to illustrate and design a story book for small children (age group 4 to 7yrs). I had been given the story and had to develop a character of a boy or a man called Timothy. I enjoyed doing that. Size of one page 21x28cm (vertical)

26 Glass Perfume Bottles illustration- This was an assignment done to study the form of grape vine. I had to design a family of perfume bottles based on the form of the grape vine. I did the renderings of the glass bottles in Photoshop.

31 Horse illustration for calendar- In this assignment I did sketches with crayons on textured paper, rendered them in Photoshop to use as illustrations for a calendar of an art gallery called Studio S.
