11 We are so excited to announce that the 2016 Southern Union Pathfinder Camporee will be held at Camp Kulauqa in High Springs, FL from October 12-16, Hello Everyone: In about 6 months we will have another Pathfinder Southern Union Camporee. The last one was in New this year! Registration for the Camporee will be moving online to our Camporee website Registration will open on Monday April 4, The regular Camporee price of $95 per person will be available from Monday April 4until Monday September 19. After September 19 a late registration fee of an additional $10 will apply. Registration will close on Friday, September 30th! Again be sure to bookmark the Camporee website will be your go to spot for the 2016 Camporee and don't forget to like us on Facebook as well. We are expecting a lot of Pathfinders from 8 States / 8 Conferences. 13 Club of the Year/Honor Club E-Tracker & Varsity The Florida Conference Youth Ministries Department challenges all Florida Pathfinder Clubs to work towards these awards. They require a club to plan, organize, and execute a complete Pathfinder year program. CLUB OF THE YEAR: Complete all of Section A and Section B. HONORARY CLUB: Complete all of Section A, and complete all but 2 of the requirements for Section B. REQUIREMENT SECTION A 1. You must register your club with the Conference EVERY YEAR (as soon as possible) but no later than November Shield the Vulnerable mandatory background screening program for all local church volunteers ages 18 and up. Every volunteer staff member, every club, & is done every three years. Go to 3. ANY staff member who will be driving Pathfinders during the year must fill out and sign the Volunteer Driver Questionnaire. Make a copy of this form for your club records, and send the ORIGINALS to the conference Office by November 1. If there are no divers, submit a blank form, mark the slot (No Drivers) with the name of the church. 4. ANY staff member who will be driving a church owned and insured vehicle during the year must fill out and sign the Risk Management Driver Questionnaire. Make a copy of this form for your club records, and send the ORIGINALS to the conference office by November Club MUST be working on Levels (Friend, Companion, Explorer, Ranger, Voyager, Guide, Pioneer, Navigator and/or Master Guide). 6. Club must be working on Honors. 7. Gather/Record Information quarterly/submit one time at end of Pathfinder Year (Due May 1) SECTION B 8. At least one Pathfinder club staff member must attend Leadership Convention. Varsity Pathfinders may attend if accompanied by at least one adult staff member. 9. Plan (with the help of your staff) your first semester club calendar (covering September-December) and submit it to the Conference office by November 1. You may elect to send the complete year calendar. If the complete calendar was not sent in, submit to the Conference office your second semester club calendar (covering January-May) by February If this Pathfinder year has a State or Area Camporee scheduled, at least 80% of your Pathfinders and staff must attend the event and be attired in the uniform of the day. 11. At least 80% of your club must participate in a Share Your Faith project during the year (may include Ingathering) for a minimum of 10 hours. Send in the Project Completion Report by May 1. You will also find this form in the staff hand book. 12. Have an Induction Service (one is not required if there are no new members this year). 13. Have a Pathfinder Sabbath. 14. Have an Investiture Service. 15. A yearly Club Evaluation is to be done by a PAC member, another club director, or by your own director. 17 Club Evaluation Form CLUB OF THE YEAR REQUIREMENT! A yearly club evaluation is to be done by a PAC member, another club director, or by your own director. This evaluation should be completed before May 1 st and the name of the evaluator written on your May 1 st Quarterly Report. (Form does not need to be sent to the Conference office.) The requirements are not intended to be easy and are designed to present a challenge to the Pathfinder who is exceptional, and outstanding in all aspects of life. One of the requirements for this award is that the Candidate must (with complete honesty) fill out one of these sheets to evaluate him/herself. They must then give sheets to four (4) of the following adults who know them well: Parent School Teacher Sabbath School Teacher or Pastor Pathfinder Staff.
