1 Bharati Vidyapeeth s Institute of Technology (Poly.), Palus, Dist: Sangli Central Library Library is the Temple of Knowledge. It plays vital role not only in technical knowledge development but also satisfies the reader s thirst related to life skill enhancement. Central Library has a collection of over books covering different engineering streams. The library is fully computerized with e-granthalaya (NIC) software. Central Library is automated with software e-granthalaya version 3.0 (2007) with bar code system. This helps our Students and Faculty members to search any type of library materials. The digital library provides students and faculty instant access to National Journals in their branches of specialization. Internet connectivity is available on 12 personal computers through broadband connectivity. Students can access Wi-Fi connection.the library is open to students and faculty between 9 am 6 pm on all working days. Students from each department make use of the library every day. The Central library also provides photocopy facility for the users. Our faculty at the library delivers just-in-time information with passion. Institute library is truly a learning center and stocks textbooks, reference books, Journals, audio video lectures and projects reports. The Central Library has subscription of National Journals and Magazines in the relevant technological areas. The Library subscribes to more than 12 National Journals and has very large collection of reference books on advanced disciplines.in all, the Central library has more than 9700 volumes and around 1800 titles covering various advanced disciplines pertaining to all the branches of engineering.

2 We provide digital library facility. This includes 12 computers connected with high speed Internet and 724 Compact Disc (CDs). Digital library helps to access e-journals, e-books and Internationals standards through databases like IEEE Digital Library. Semester wise eligible students can apply for books under this scheme for free of cost. As per students demand we can also provide extra reference books. o Book Bank- The book bank facility is available for all regular students. Under this scheme a set of books is issued to the students for a whole semester. At the end of the Semester the students has to return all the books. o Reference Service- The reference sources provide current information on a wide range of subjects. The library maintains a separate collection of reference books. o Reprography Service- The library offers Printing and Xerox Facility to all Students and Faculty members. o Current Journals and Bound Volumes Journals- The library holds Bound volumes till data. The volume of back journals has kept in separate section.

5 o Reading Section- There is specious area for all the students and Faculty members. There is separate section of Faculty and Students. o Digital Library- The institute has updated e-library facility with 12 PCs with LAN and high speed internet connection where e-resources and e-documents can be searched within a short span of time. With the help of e-library students can easily obtain information about their courses and projects to enhance their knowledge. 20 students can surf easily, e-books, e-journals and CD s etc. Also NPTEL video lectures are made available. o OPAC System (Online Public Access Catalogue):- Our library is computerized. This system is useful for the students and Faculty for searching the book. Whenever students want any book he can easily search in OPAC system.
