1 Summer Reading List - 5 th Grade GACS expects for all students to read during the summer. This suggested list for summer reading is not exclusive but attempts to provide choices for various reading abilities and interests. Students entering fifth grade should read 4 books minimum during the summer. One of the books should be for the book club. Sign up for 5th grade book club on the GACS Media Center home page under in the spotlight. One of the four books read must be a non-fiction book. Keep a list of the books read with the names and authors on the form below. Parents should sign the completed list and turn it into the teacher in the fall. GO SPARTANS! 2 Summer Reading List - 4 th Grade So that you will be prepared for our adventures next year, we would like you to read a few books this summer. Each rising 4th grader is expected to read 5 books before school begins in August. This suggested list for summer reading is not exclusive but attempts to provide choices for various reading abilities and interest. Two websites for other suggestions are for the Christian Librarian Award list and for a list of Newberry winners. Keep a list of the books read on the form below to be turned in during the first week of school. A parent should sign the form for it to be accepted. Don t wait! Start as soon as you can! However, parents are encouraged to help their child select quality literature for their summer reading.
