2 II - PROCEDURE FOR DEPOSITING AN ARTICLE AND SLIDE SHOW A) Text (word) Deposit your article, the 30th November 2010 at the latest, on the web site (select "Place of the authors" "Instructions"). 1/ Name your Word file according to the reference of your submission, JRA for example 2/ Go to JRA website (as above) 3/ Indicate reference and password obtained during abstract submission 4/ Verify title and authors, if this information has changed since abstract submission, update them by clicking on «Modification» 5/ Deposit your article in Word version, o By clicking the link «Upload document» o Then by clicking on «parcourir», look for your file to deposit 6/ Indicate the speaker with the drop-down menu 7/ Validate to send your file to the secretariat of French Avian Research Days, a confirmation will be send to you B) Slide Show (ppt) Deposit your slide show, the 20th March 2011 at the latest, on the web site (select "Place of authors" "Instructions"). 1/ Name your ppt file according to reference of your submission including the word «poster», JRA2011-poster for example 2/ Follow procedures 2, 3 and 4 described above 3/ Deposit your file in ppt version, o By clicking on «Upload document» below on the right O Then look for the file to be deposited in the section «documents de présentation orale» 4/ Validate to send your file to the secretariat of French Avian Research Days, a confirmation will be send to you

3 III - INSTRUCTIONS FOR WRITTEN PAPER ARTICLES MUST BE WRITTEN IN FRENCH The program, article abstracts (in French and English) and complete reviews will be published in the proceedings. The CD-rom will include all the complete articles. The work should be accessible to all attendees. The background, main aims and outlooks of the study should be included. If the syntheses requires to make reference to a commercial product, - Name of product must not appear in the title, - Commercial name of product can only be mentionned once in part «Materials and methods», but its mention is not compulsory - The active principles must be named, - Avoid hasty conclusions and where possible compare your results with the other scientific work, Article lenght: (see attached example) Maximum 9 pages (references/tables/figures included) front page will include abstract in French and in English which summarise the work. Article format: - A4 (21x29,7) - Left and right margins : 2,5 cm - Top and bottom margins : 2,5 cm - First page : 1 column (Width 16 cm) - Following 8 pages : 2 column per page (Width: 7,7 cm and spacing between columns: 0,6 cm) - Front : Times New Roman 10pt FIRST PAGE - Title : On the top of the first page : CENTERED, UPPER CASE AND IN BOLD, 12PT ET 1.5 SIMPLE SPACED - Jump a line, then : Author(s): Surname (Lower case) FirstName (Lower case) (in bold and centered, 12pt) - Jump a line, then: Organisation or company and postal address (12pt lower case, not in bold and centered). - In the case of authors of different organisations or companies present as follows: Martin Jules 1, Dupont Alphonsine 2 1 ITAVI, 28 rue du rocher PARIS, 2 INRA UR83 Recherches Avicoles NOUZILLY

4 - Jump a line, then: of corresponding author (12pt lower case, not in bold and centered) - Write abstract in the frame: Abstract in French (15 lines, full page), title in English and abstract in English (15 lines, full page) are framed and must fit on the first page of the article. The English title must be in 10pt lower case, in bold and aligned to the left. FOLLOWING PAGES The text will be presented on 2 columns (use the mask attached) - Adopt the following recommendations for titles of the various sections TITLE1: IN BOLD, UPPER CASE, MARGIN ON THE LEFT (WITH DOUBLE SPACED ABOVE AND BELOW) FOR TITLES OF VARIOUS SECTIONS Title2: Not in bold, lower case, margin on the left (with 1 simple spaced above and below) for titles of various sections. The tables and figures should be numbered in Arabic numbers, with indication on the top of figures and tables: Figure or Table (in lower case and bold), legends will be in lower case, in non bold and centered. The references list will be in full page in alphabetical order of authors, as follows: - For reviews: Title abbreviated of the review, without title of the article: Scott M.L., Poult.Sci., (58), For books: Wuttke W., In : Poultry Nutrition (fisher edit.) John Wiley and Sons, London, pp In the text, references are included in the following form: name of author (in lower case), year of publication: (Dupont, 1925). If there are more than two authors, indicate only the first, follow-ed by et al. (Durand and al., 1985). Other important recommendations - To identify clearly the congress in which the paper is presented: Neuvièmes Journées de la Recherche Avicole, Tours, 29 et 30 mars 2011 must be mentioned at the bottom of each page (10pt, italic, not in bold and centered). - Do not include footnotes - Deposit your article, 30th November 2010 at the latest, on the web site (select Place of the authors Instructions ) according to the procedure describe above (II). File should be recorded in Word for Windows.

5 IV - INSTRUCTIONS FOR SLIDE SHOW The video projector is the only means available for speakers. - Syntheses : For the options Markets and Consumption/Interaction between Nutrition Genetics Welfare/Hygiene and Food Quality: you will have a speaking time of 15 minutes for your presentation. For the option Innovate to last: you will have a speaking time of 20 minutes for your presentation. For the option Pathology and Prevention: you will have a speaking time of 25 minutes for your presentation. - Number of slides: limited to approximately a slide per minute of speaking time. -Centralization of PowerPoint files before Days: we ask you to pass on your definitive PowerPoint file, ready to be sent, on the web site of the French Avian Research Day according to the procedure describe above (part IIB). -Format: To avoid any problem (polices, version...etc) in projection, we ask you to register your PowerPoint file in the.ppt format and to import polices. -Validation: Thank you for checking your pictures before sending them because it will be difficult to make modifications later.
