Also could attempt a mock style exam. Could be a past paper from WJEC or teacher made. Punctuation review Discursive markers exploration of a character using an extract from the book. Character profile using quotations form the text. Review of punctuation Sentence Structure The new English KS3 curriculum states that students should be taught both pre and 1914 contemporary literature (prose, poetry and drama); 2 Shakespere plays and seminal world literature. reader should be used to assess reading and comprehension throughout the key stage. Pupils should be tested on a termly basis.

5 Teachers must ensure they do not cover the same Shakespeare plays as previous years. Ideally pupils should be taught one tragedy and one comedy play. Pupils should also become in the habit of using PEE and analysing texts in preparation for GCSE.
