An author should take care of certain things while submitting his/her manuscripts. The following are the criteria that should be taken care of i. TAMPH encourages online submission of the articles through online manuscript submission system. ii. The articles to be submitted should be in MS word or PDF format, and should be written in English language. iii. Non-English speaking authors having not so strong command over English are advised to get their manuscripts checked by an expert before submission. iv. The article should be submitted along with a cover letter to the editors. The cover letter should include the title of the manuscript, its short summary, and full contact details of all the persons listed as authors. v. The article should consist of the text of your research with all the keywords mentioned in it, figures, tables, figure legends, or other illustrations as and when necessary. vi. The author should ensure that all the citations in the text and the ones in the files provided match with one another. vii. The author should provide the supplement files if and wherever found necessary. viii. The author should ensure that the manuscript is spell checked and grammar checked. ix. The author should ensure that all the cited in the text are mentioned in the reference list, and vice versa. x. The reference should be numbered in the xi. xii. order in which they appear in the text. The author should obtain proper permissions for the use of the copyrighted content from the respective sources. The corresponding author should obtain the consent of all the so-authors before submitting the manuscript. xiii. The author should ensure that the manuscript being submitted has not been published before or is not being considered for publishing by any other publication house. xiv. The author should fulfill all the journal requirements. xv. The author should provide a competing interests statement, even if there are none. xvi. By submitting your manuscripts to TAMPH, the author agrees to the originality checks during the peer-review and the publication process. xvii. The guidelines for manuscript submission and preparation are updated regularly. Hence, the authors should keep a track of the same and conform to these guidelines while submitting the manuscript. Types of Manuscripts 1. Original Research Articles 2. Review Articles 3. Symposia or Topical Collections 4. Spotlights 1. Original Research Articles Original Research Articles should include original research works carried out by the person(s) submitting the articles, and should be having a significant impact upon the current developments in the field of science and technology. A research offering new findings on a topic is considered to be original. An original research also includes - forming new theories on the basis of these findings, giving appropriate interpretations of the data mentioned in the article, and ensuring that the article has not been published elsewhere prior to the submission with the publication house. We discourage and do not permit the publication of articles as a series. 2. Review Articles Review Articles should include articles that integrate all the relevant information available on the topic, and/or also consider all the articles published on the same topic, in order to encourage the readers to carry further research on that topic, by providing new ways to perceive the same topic. 3. Symposia or Topical Collections Topical Collections should include a series of original research articles presented as a part of
3 symposia or are related to a single topic. The organizer should contact the Editor for confirming the subject matter to be a part of the scope of the journal, availability of space in a particular edition or issue, and for detailed information regarding the submission of all the articles. Each article would be reviewed separately, and only the accepted articles among the series will be published. 4. Spotlights Spotlight articles are the articles that throw light upon the new developments in the respective field of research. It emphasizes upon noteworthy development, new innovation, some significant event or research in a particular field. These articles should have a very brief abstract as an attachment. Structure of the Manuscripts While submitting an article for publication, an author must take special care regarding the structuring of the article. The structure should be appropriate, and must conform to the guidelines for the authors set by the journal. Articles not structured according to the guidelines are not accepted. There are many things, ranging from the fonts to the margins, to the size of the article, and to the components of the article, which are supposed to be taken care of. The guidelines for each component are given below : An article is divided into many sections, and all the content is categorized and included under the respective section. Also, there should be a chronological sequence of arranging the different sections. The sections can be structured in a chronological sequence as follows: * Title and Authorship The title should be accurately, clearly and grammatically correct and concisely reflect emphasis and content of the manuscript. Authors names include all those who have made substantial contributions to the works even in the manuscript was actually written by only one person use first name, middle name and surnames. At least one author must be designated with on asterisk (*) as the author to whom correspondences should be addressed. The names and addresses of the institution(s) where the work was performed should be listed in the following paragraph. If this is different from the present address, this should be noted in footnote. The address of the corresponding author should be placed on a separate line below the institution addresses * Abstract and Keywords The abstract allows the reader to identify the nature and scope of the manuscript and helps the editors recognize key features for indexing and retrieval. 5-6 keywords should be provided directly below the abstract. * Introduction The introduction should be placed the work in the appropriate context and clearly state the purpose and objectives of the research. * Research Methods and Material Provide sufficient detail to allow the work to be reproduced. Methods already published should be indicated by a reference: only relevant modifications should be described. * Results and Discussion The presentation of experimental detail in the Results & Discussion section should be kept to minimum. Reiteration of information that is made obvious in tables, figures, or reaction schemes should be avoided. * Conclusions If an optional conclusion section is used, its content should not substantially duplicate the abstract. * Acknowledgement This section may be used to acknowledge helpful discussion with colleagues, technical assistance, gifts of starting material or reference samples, data from individual providers of spectroscopic, analytical or
4 crystallographic services who are not coauthors, and financial support. * References and Footnotes Authors should be judicious in citing the literature; unnecessarily long list of references should be avoided. Any articles, communications, letters, patents, theses, and conference abstracts in which portions of the reported work have been previously disclosed must be cited long footnotes should be avoided. All the references and footnotes must be placed together in a list at the end of the manuscript text. They should be numbered with Arabic numerals in the order of the first citation in the text, and the corresponding numbers inserted at the appropriate locations in the text as superscripted numerals with square brackets. It is crucial that authors verify their accuracy. * Journal * Author, Journal Abbreviation; Volume(Issue), Page (Year). * Book * Author, Book Title, Edition Number, Editor, Publisher, Place of Publication, Volume, Page (Year). * Meeting and Conference * Author, Name of Meeting or Proceeding, Location of Meeting, Date of Meeting, Abstract Number, Page (Year). * Patent * Patent Owner, Title of Patent, Patent Number, (Year). * Thesis * Author, Level of Thesis, Degree-Granting University, Location of University, (Year). * Computer Program * Author, Program Title (Version or Edition), Publisher, Place of Publication, (Year). * Website In parentheses, show the date, the site was last accessed the date you checked to make sure the site was still online and the URL, seprated by a semicolon. Do not use ending punctuation. * Tables, Figures and Other Illustrations The use of tables is encouraged to present data in a space-efficient manner. Tables must be inserted in the manuscript word-processor file near their first mention in the text. They should be created with the word processor s table-formatting feature. Each data entry should be placed within its own table cell; tabs and line returns should not be used within cells. Arrangements that leave many columns only partially filled should be avoided. Footnotes within tables should be given lowercase italic letter designations and should be cited in the table with lowercase italic superscripted letters. The sequence of letters should proceed by row, and form left to right within any rows having more than one footnote. If a reference is cited both in the text and in a table, the letteral footnote in the table should cite the text reference.s number. Above each table should be typed in boldface characters, a sequential Arabic table number and short descriptive title. All graphics (illustrations) must be prepared in digital format and inserted into the manuscript word processor file near their first mention in the text. Graphics intended to appear in black and white or grayscale should not be submitted in colour. When areas in a graphic created with a graphics program need to be shaded or filled in parallel lines or crosshatching, rather than gray shading, should be used whenever possible to allow the graphic to be processed as line art rather than as grayscale art. The editors encourage the use of colour in manuscript graphics when it is important for clarity of presentation. The quality of the graphics published in the journal depends on the quality of the graphic images provided by authors. Digital graphics should have minimum resolution. Black and white line art 1200dpi Grayscale art 600dpiColour art 300dpi For uniformity of appearance, all the graphics of the same type should share a common graphic style and font.
5 Structures, schemes and other drawings are made with standard drawing programmemost preferable advanced version of ChemDraw. Drawings made with CorelDraw 17. For scanned halftone figures a resolution of 300 dpi is sufficient. Scanned figures compressed with JPEG usually give no problems. * Graphics for Table of Contents A graphic must be included with each manuscript for display in the table of contents and the abstract. This graphic should capture the reader s attention and, in conjunction with the manuscript title, should give the reader a quick visual impression of the essence of the manuscript without providing specific results. The graphic should be simple, but informative. The use of color is encouraged. The graphic should uphold the standards of a scholarly, professional publication. The graphic must be entirely original, unpublished artwork created by one of the coauthors. The graphic should not include a photograph, drawing, or caricature of any person, living or deceased. Do not include postage stamps or currency from any country, or trademarked items (company logos, images, and products). Avoid choosing a graphic that already appears within the text of the manuscript. Peer Review Process At The American Publishing House (TAMPH), we practice the double-blind reviewing of the manuscripts. The peer review process is carried out by the publisher to ensure the published articles to be of the best possible quality. Reviewing is initially done by the editor himself. If the editor considers the manuscript worth publishing, it is sent forward to the reviewers for further reviewing. Experts of the field of the research are chosen as reviewers, who review the content of the manuscript for its originality and validity. The significance of the content in the respective field, and the propriety of the manuscript, with respect to the Journal Guidelines, is also sought for by the reviewers. The responsibility for handling and reviewing the submitted manuscripts is that of the Editor-in- Chief, who can also assign this to one of the Associate Editors. Then, that Associate Editor is responsible for the handling and reviewing of that manuscript, and also for monitoring the review process, corresponding with the reviewers and the authors, final checking of the accepted version of the manuscript. The Associate Editor is also laid with the task of selecting the reviewers. Generally, three reviewers are assigned for reviewing of each manuscript, on the basis of their expertise in the subject matter of the research. The Review process usually occurs and gets completed within 15 days of the submission of the manuscript. Anonymous copies of the reviews and the Editor s decisions regarding the acceptance of the manuscript are sent to the author, once the review process is over. The Editors have the authority to reject a manuscript before the review process or even after the review process, if the editor finds the manuscript to be outside the scope of the journal, lacking in significance, or is poorly structured. Conflicts of Interest and Ethical Guidelines The integrity of a manuscript is a responsibility of the author and the co-authors. TAMPH requires all authors to disclose any potential conflicts of interest at the time of submission of the manuscript. Any interest or relationship, that might affect the objectivity of the author or the unbiased reviewing, is considered as the potential conflict of interest. Affiliations, funding sources, patent or copyright ownership, financial or management relationships (employment, grantees, consultancies, board of directors of the same company, etc), are some of the major sources of conflicts of interest. The disclosure of the conflicts of interests should be done by the corresponding author on the behalf of all the co-authors. It is his/her responsibility to discuss this policy with all the coauthors and form a common list of conflicts of
6 interest and mention it in the cover letter, in the manuscript, and in the online submission system. The statement of the conflicts of interest will be published in the journal along with the article. If there are no conflicts of interest to be declared, the following statement will be published the Author(s) has no conflicts of interest. For publishing purely original works, TAMPH ensures that any article written using unethical practices like, plagiarism is not published. For this, all articles are screened for detecting any signs of plagiarism. The Editor may ask the author for further clarifications or explanations, if found necessary. The Editor may also impose a ban on an author, if that author is found to be violating the ethical guidelines. Revisions and Resubmissions The authors should take care of the following things when revisioning and resubmitting their manuscripts A. For all the revisions: The author must clearly identify the manuscript as a revision and should also mention the manuscript number with the revision. Author must respond to each and every comment made by the editor and the reviewers. He/she should include a chronological list of all the modifications made with the revision. If the Editor finds it necessary, he/she may send the manuscript for re-reviewing to same or different reviewers. Author should upload the signed Copyright Transfer Agreement. B. For all resubmissions: The author must clearly identify the manuscript as a resubmission and should also mention the previous manuscript number along with it. Author must respond to each and every comment made by the editor and the reviewers. He/she should include a chronological list of all the modifications made with the revision. Author should upload the signed Copyright Transfer Agreement. Additions or corrections These articles include the modifications that should be done after the publication of the article. This includes corrections in the original article or some additions in the previous version. Either the Editor can request the corresponding author for making these modifications, or the author can spontaneously inform about the necessary modifications and seek permission for making amendments in the original article. In case of multiple authorships, the corresponding author should inform all the other authors before doing modifications and ask for their approval for submitting those modifications. The proofs for the approval should be attached with the modifications. The Addition and Correction article should include the original title of the article, article number, list of all the authors, all necessary citations, and the details of the modifications made. Retractions Infringements of professional ethical codes, such as multiple submission, bogus claims of authorship, plagiarism, fraudulent use of data or the like. Occasionally a retraction will be used to correct errors in submission or publication.the retraction of an article by its authors or the editor under the advice of members of the scholarly community has long been an occasional feature of the learned world. Standards for dealing with retractions have been developed by a number of library and scholarly bodies, and this best practice is adopted for article retraction by TAPH: A retraction note titled Retraction: [article title] signed by the authors and/or the editor is published in the paginated part of a subsequent issue of the journal and listed in the contents list. In the electronic version, a link is made to the original article.
7 The online article is preceded by a screen containing the retraction note. It is to this screen that the link resolves; the reader can then proceed to the article itself. The original article is retained unchanged save for a watermark on the.pdf indicating on each page that it is retracted. The HTML version of the document is removed. Charges for accepted manuscript retraction is 100 US$. Manuscript retraction charges will be applicable after galleyproof stage. Proofs The proofs are sent to the corresponding author through in PDF format for checking the data or statistical errors, typographical errors, or certain grammatical errors. No charges are levied upon authors for availing the proofs. To avoid a delay in the publication of the article, the author must return the proofs with the corrections within 72 hours of receiving the proofs. It is the responsibility of the corresponding author to ascertain that all co-authors agree with the corrections before the corrections are returned. Corrections should be designated by galley proof line number. Routine rephrasing of sentences or additions are not permitted at the page proof stage. Extensive or important changes on page proofs, including changes to the title or list of authors, are subject to editorial review. Reprints E-reprint will be ed to corresponding author. Printed reprints can be ordered during galley proof stage. Publication Charges No page charges or any other charges are levied upon the author. TAMPH provides free of cost submission and publication of manuscripts.
If the paper was given in part at a scientific meeting, this should be stated in a footnote on the title page.
