1 Project Based Learning in History Challenge question Nazi Germany was a period of huge terror and huge change. How far do you agree? Sources of evidence How will you research this challenge question? Sections to include in your Project 1. Timeline of Germany Who was Hitler, and what did he do? 3. How did the lives of people change in Nazi Germany? 4. How did Hitler control Germany? 5. What happened to Jews in Nazi Germany? 6. How and why did the Nazis change education? 7. How and why did the Nazis change leisure time? 8. What was the Kindertransport? 9. What did Nazi propaganda look like? Find two examples of Nazi propaganda and stick them on a page of A4 annotate around each image what the overall message the Nazis wanted to get across, and outline how they tried to achieve this by looking at what is included in the poster and comparing it with your own contextual knowledge 10. How should a Holocaust Museum remember and teach about the Holocaust? Design a Museum and find up to three relevant sources which could be either pictures, diaries, songs, newspaper Individuals Were there eyewitness accounts? What do they say? Were there personal testimonies about this? What happened to Jewish people? What do the victims of Nazi Germany tell us? Media What recorded debates and speeches are there about this? What do they teach us? What can we learn from posters from this time? Which were made by the Nazis, and which were made about the Nazis? Are there films and TV that can give us information? What propaganda was used? Written sources What can we learn from newspapers? What do the published sources tell? What online information is there?
