12 DATABASES Trinity College Dublin Library subscribes to 350+ databases Most databases cover a range of publication types Material is reliable, authoritative and scholarly You can access them from home with your College username and password By searching only subscription databases and limiting your search to scholarly Click to edit or peer-reviewed Master subtitle sources, style you can virtually guarantee that all materials retrieved will be appropriate for a research paper

41 GOOGLE AND GOOGLE SCHOLAR Both are good to get you started Google Scholar is useful for finding a particular article you already know about, or others that cite it BUT CONSIDER: No-one outside Google really knows how Google assigns relevancy It s very likely articles you want but don t know about are listed in Google Click to Scholar edit Master but finding subtitle them style is another matter The ability to search Google Scholar like other databases just isn t there at present

49 PRINTING, PHOTOCOPYING & SCANNING Photocopying, printing and scanning facilities in the Library and IT Services Computer Rooms are provided by a company called Datapac Your College ID Card acts as your identification card for the Datapac service. Once you have registered, a PIN for your printing account will be ed to your TCD e- mail account by Datapac with the subject heading: New PIN for Trinity Printing, Photocopying and Scanning There are helpful Datapac guides that you can collect from the Library.
