Professional Development: >Ruth Fleet completed 3 credit units, Supervision in Curriculum, toward her doctoral degree in Curriculum and Teaching. >Ruth Fleet and Buffy Hamilton attended the August 25 Cherokee Country School District Specialists meeting at Little River Elementary. >Ruth Fleet and Buffy Hamilton s presentation on using Web 2.0 tools for developing a personal learning network as a media specialist was accepted for the October 2008 COMO conference in Athens,. >Buffy Hamilton s presentation on the use e-books in the library was accepted for the November 2008 GAETC Conference in Atlanta,. >Buffy Hamilton presented Avant Garde Cataloging 2.0 to Dr. Mary Ann Fitzgerald s EDIT 6380 Cataloging class, University of The Unquiet Library blog, surpasses 50,000 hits; the blog received 6,885 hits in August. Introduced students to Glogster for creating electronic posters; discussed the ethical use of images, video, and sounds. Discussed the concept of creative commons license and showed students sources for copyright friendly multimedia.
