Individually issued often in editions of 110 copies, handset in various types printed on different paper stocks (including silver and gold), illustrated with drawings and linocuts etc. This number 50 of 70 sets issued complete in a marbled paper-covered box, with matching chemise, and distributed to members of the British Printing Society Publishing Group. One of the earliest and greatest of book collecting texts. 10.Chamisso (von Adelbert). With a drawing of a fox and a lady's leg on the title-page, plus many manuscript alterations, etc, the author's hand, including two on the wrapper that turn "Larking" into "Barking". The influence of Stanley Morison, then typographic advisor to Cambridge University Press is apparent. 44.(Keepsake Press) - Roy Lewis LXXX [A Festschrift.] 8vo, 18cm, Contents, 28 items from various press for Roy Lewis at The Keepsake Press, November, One of perhaps eighty sets (some limitations are higher, but I suspect this number), consisting of 28 contributions (including the Keepsake keepsakes) printed on a wide variety of papers by 18 different presses, a few with decoration, ornament, etc. Blue cloth chemise and slipcase with printed label by Chris Hicks. Pamphlets sewn into wrappers and in fine or near fine condition, the first two being inscribed by the author to Henry Warren. Together with ten Christmas cards, printed at Cambridge University Press for frank Kendon, , most with inscriptions to Henry Warren from Frank,& Celia, Alice & Adam, some with extensive verse holograph by Frank Kendon. 100 Frank Samuel Herbert Kendon (September 12, December 28, 1959) was an English writer, poet and

9 academic. He was also an illustrator, and journalist. He was educated at St John's College, Cambridge, where he became a Fellow in He was a published poet in the 1920s and later a writer of stories and a novel. From 1935 to 1954 he worked for Cambridge University Press. At the beginning of World War II he was a campaigning pacifist. Kendon had a son named Adam Kendon, born 1934 in London. 46. Containing 42 (of 43) examples of fine printing by leading designers, each from the Book of Genesis, some illustrated, 16 in English, various sizes, all in fine condition. Decorative cloth folder a little worn, else fine. 180 Published to celebratrate the 500th anniversary of the Gutenberg 42-line Bible. Maximilien Vox missed the deadline so his contribution is merely a short apology for absence. An extraordinary compilation including Gotthard de Beauclair, Bruce Rogers, Hans Schmoller, Hermann Zapf and Jan van Krimpen. 47.(Limited Editions Club) Hugo (Victor). The Toilers of the Sea. Richards has painted 25 (there is no A ) delightful gouache vignettes while Tessimond has added his own interpretation of the art and guile of the advertising business.
