2 BIRTHDAYS President s Message Feb: Dianne Roden =1 Feb: Herman Schultz =4 Hi everyone: The meeting at Traxx's Feb: Keith Zimmerman =21 was great. It was wonderful to see Harry again and boy does he look fabulous. We had 13 people for the lunch and since not everyone was there did not discuss a whole lot. We have decided we need to go more and the thought was of doing more around the area. So, with that in mind I am thinking we all get together and go for the Cloverdale show in September. There are great things to do and see right in our own back yard so let's go see and do. Next month we will be meeting at Adel's in Healdsburg on the 11th of March at 12:00 noon. Weather permitting we will then cruise out to the Dam, just to make sure our spillway is in order. Please R.S.V.P. by March 7th. Thank You and hope to see all of you then. Happy upcoming Saint Patrick s Day Pat Arieta, T.O.S. Notes from the Editor, As all of you know I have been experiencing some health issues the last few months that hit us fast and hard. The good news is that my surgery was successful and I m on the mend. I ll be starting chemotherapy in March with a positive outlook to the future and being cancer free. Mar: Mar: Laura Baumgartner = 18 Maryanne McLucas =20 ANNIVERSARIES Mar: Dennis and Deanna Byrne =29 ********************************************************* A few photo from the meeting at Traxx, thank you Dee Dee.
3 This Month s Meeting Minutes The TOS February meeting was held at TRAXX restaurant in Petaluma. Attendees were Pat & Jim Arieta, Louise Johnson and her daughter, Debbie, Dennis & Dee Dee Byrne, Denise Bahnsen-Brown, Duwayne Bahnsen and his daughter Gemma and her friend, Natasia. Also, our beloved Harry Costa arrived with his daughter, Toni, and caregiver Isaac. It was wonderful to have Harry with us! We ve missed him much! President Pat and husband, Jim hosted the meeting. We all had a delicious lunch with good conversation and fellowship. President Pat announced that our March meeting would be held in Healdsburg at Adel s Restaurant. She stated that the consensus of the club membership is to have our meetings at the same venue each month So she is working to make this happen. And we will schedule additional special T-Bird outings & events during these meetings. Pat mentioned that the clubs in other areas have welcomed Thunderbirds of Sonoma to come and attend their car shows & events. She promoted the Cloverdale Car Show, the Grass Valley Show, and Cool April Nights. Let s commit to attending some of these out-ofarea shows. Pat is working on a calendar of events with all the shows and happenings coming up. If you have information or feedback for her, please give her a call. Also, contact Pat with ideas for venues for us to visit, i.e. wineries, parks, etc Let s get our cars out more often! The treasury report was given by President Pat. The club is doing well. Now for a medical update on or cherished member Mike McLucas: Mike endured an eight hour successful surgery to remove his spleen. The doctors conclude that he has a form of CURABLE lymphoma. He has responded well to current treatment and will be starting rounds of chemotherapy early next month. We all have been sending prayers and positive energy his way and continue to do so. We love you Mike, and we re anxious to be with you again soon! Respectfully Submitted, Dee Dee Byrne Secretary
