Comments The candidate is able to link different relevant foci, and identify their relation, for example in the description of images in Plate (4a) and the hand writing in Plate (4b). The candidate is able to connect different experiences and feelings with the visual forms, without understanding the relationship among them, for example in Plate (4a), he/she states the selection of images creates the form of a ship and the use of colour in Plate (4b) is eye catching. The candidate is able to provide multiple interpretations of meaning with regard to forms of presentation. For example in plate (4a), he/she suggests the image of a ship creates a sense of welcome. In plate (4b), he/she argues the hands and tools used suggest a hand-made feeling. The candidate is able to quote multiple criteria to judge the appropriateness and effectiveness in delivering the key message of the presentation for example in his/her comments on the choice of images in both designs.

Part B

Artwork Statement: Comments The candidate shows selection and mastery of materials and skills accurately and effectively in expressing the key message of the theme, for example in his/her use of marker pens. The candidate is able to select and master multiple visual elements and principles of design, accurately and effectively in expressing the key message of the theme, for example in his/her use of colour and the form in the design. The candidate shows an ability to integrate various contexts of artworks or ideas in his/her appreciation and criticism of the designs, and deal with the problems in expressing the theme, for example in the the composition and the use of typography in the design. The candidate is able to demonstrate personality characteristics in an original and richly imaginative way, for example in his/her use of images on the top of the man s head.

The candidate is able to use multiple, relevant and coordinate forms of artistic creation in expressing different emotions or idea. For example, his/her use of colour, composition and images in the work shows the candidate s intention.

Comments The candidate is able to link different relevant foci, and identify their relationship, for example in his/her description of images, colours and composition in Plate (3a) and Plate (3b). The candidate is able to connect different experiences and feelings with the visual form, without understanding the relationship among the forms, for example in Plate (3a), he/she states the yellow and red colours create a warm atmosphere and the colours in Plate (3b) evoke danger and disorder. The candidate is able to provide multiple interpretations of meaning with forms of presentation. For example, in plate (3a), he/she suggests the outfit of the lady implies she is from the upper-class. In plate (2b), he/she argues the different layers of the city represent the development of the city. The candidate is able to propose multiple criteria, yet is unable to judge the appropriateness of the presentation for delivering the key message, for example in his/her comments on the colour, composition and the mood of both artworks.

Part B

The candidate shows an ability to assimilate various context s relating to the artworks or ideas in his/her appreciation and criticism of the artworks, and explore his/ her own way of painting and looking for his/ her own painting language, for example, his/her use of composition and images. The candidate is able to demonstrate personality characteristics in an original and richly imaginative way, for example in his/her use of the big-head-man walking in the street. The candidate is able to use multiple, relevant and coordinate forms of artistic creation in expressing different emotions or idea. For example, his/her use of colour, composition and images in the work shows the candidate s intention.
