Durwan (Male) Grade pay ` 1800* * Plus allowances applicable to Central Govt. employees. Age limit : Qualification : For post at Sl. No.1 - Between 18 to 27 years. For post at Sl. No.2 - Between 18 to 32 years. For post at Sl. No.3 - Between 18 to 25 years. For post at Sl. No.4 - Between 20 to 27 years. The upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST and 03 years for OBC for the post reserved for them. For Persons with Disabilities (PWD), the relaxation will be 10 years (in case of SC/ST/OBC the relaxation will be in addition to the age relaxation mentioned above). For Govt. servants with three years continuous service, age limit is 40 years for General candidates, 43 for OBC candidates and 45 for SC/ST candidates. For Ex-servicemen, relaxation will be as per existing rules. The crucial date for reckoning age limit shall be the closing date for submission of application. For post at Sl. No.1 Essential: (i) 12 th Class or equivalent from a recognized Board or university. (ii) Skill test norms only on computers - English 35 w.p.m., Hindi 30 w.p.m. (35 w.p.m. and 30 w.p.m. correspond to 10,500 KDPH/ 9000 KDPH on an average of 5 key depressions for each word). For post at Sl. No.2 Essential: (i) Matriculation from a recognized university or board (ii) Must possess license for driving light and heavy vehicles with basic knowledge in automobile repairing For post at Sl. Height without shoes cm b. Chest - unexpanded - 77 cm - expanded - 82 cm c. Weight - 45 kg Desirable: (i) Ex-serviceman. (ii) Three years service as Home Guard/Civil Defence volunteer and training in at least basic and refresher courses in Home guard and Civil defence. The last date for receipt of application will be 21 days from the date of first appearance of advertisement in Employment News. For example, if the advertisement appears in the Employment News dated January, the last date shall be 11 th of February. Scheme & syllabus of examination for the post of Lower Division Clerk Scheme of examination : 1. The examination will consist of a written examination of 200 marks and typing test on computer. 2. After the written examination the number of candidates to be called on the basis of merit for typing test shall be in the ratio 1:5 i.e. five times the number of vacancies. 3. Merit of candidates will be decided on the basis of the total marks scored in the written examination subject to qualifying in the typing test. 4. The typing test is of qualifying in nature. Failure in the typing test shall be failure in the examination. 5. Resolution of Tie cases - Tie cases will be resolved by applying one after another as applicable till the Tie is resolved : i) Date of birth, with older candidate placed higher. ii) Alphabetical order in which the first names of the candidates appear. There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer. Standard of question will be of the level to commensurate with educational qualification for the post i.e. 12 th standard Visually handicapped (VH) candidates with visual disabilities of forty percent or above can avail the assistance of scribe in the written examination subject to such requests being made at the time of applying for the examination. Question papers and answer sheets will not be provided in Braille. Persons with visual disability of less than forty percent will not be considered as visually handicapped persons. One eyed candidates and partially blind candidates who are able to read with or without magnifying glass will be allowed to use the magnifying glass in the Examination hall and will not be entitled to a Scribe. Such candidates will have to bring their own magnifying glass to the examination hall. Syllabus of written examination. Quantitative Aptitude Arithmetic 1. Number systems : Computation of Whole numbers, Decimal and fractions and Relationship between numbers. 2. Use of Tables and Graphs : Histogram, Frequency polygon, Bar-diagram, Piechart General Awareness : Questions will be designed to test the ability of the candidate s general awareness of environment around him/her and its application to society. Questions will also be designed to test knowledge of current events and of such matters of everyday observation and experience in their scientific aspect as may be expected of an educated person. The test will also include questions relating to India and its neighboring countries especially pertaining to History, Culture, Geography, Economic Scene, General Polity and scientific research. Typing test 1. The typing test will be conducted in English or Hindi and candidates while applying for the examination, will have to indicate their option. 2. Typing test will be administered on Computer, to be provided by the Factory/Unit. 3. Candidates opting for English typing shall have typing speed of 35 words per minute and those opting for Hindi typing shall have typing speed of 30 words per minute on computer. Thirty five w.p.m. and thirty w.p.m. correspond to key depressions per hour and 9000 key depressions per hour respectively. The speed will be adjudged on the accuracy of typing on the Computer of a given text passage in 10 minutes. 4. Visually handicapped candidates (with 40% disability and above) will be provided passage dictators for the typewriting test by the factory. The passage dictators will read out the passage to the VH candidates within the allotted time period. Scheme & syllabus of examination for the post of Civilian Motor Driver(Ordinary Grade) Scheme of examination The examination consists of a written test of 100 marks and skill test of 100 marks. 5 Syllabus of written test : [Page No.5] I. General Intelligence : The questions will include both verbal and non-verbal type. The test may include questions on analogies, similarities, differences, space visualization, visual memory, discrimination observation, relationship concept & 10 th standard arithmetic. II. General English : The questions will include candidate s understanding of the basics of English language, its vocabulary, grammar, sentence structure, synonyms, antonyms and its correct usage, etc. III. General Driving Awareness : Skill test : The test will include common questions on General knowledge, traffic rules, knowledge about motor vehicles, their maintenance and repair. Skill test on driving shall be conducted for only those candidates who attain a minimum qualifying standard in the written examination. Number of candidates to be called for the skill test will be 1:5 i.e. five times the number of vacancies. The skill test on driving will be same/similar to the tests as are being conducted by the RTOs for giving driving license. The grading of candidates(selected in written test) will be done based on their assessed skill in driving, without taking into account the marks scored in the written test. Scheme of examination for the post of Multi-tasking staff Scheme of examination : The examination will consist of a written test of 150 marks. Note 4: Resolution of Tie cases - Tie cases will be resolved by applying one after another, as applicable till the Tie is resolved : (i) By referring to the marks in Part-C of the written objective type paper. (ii) By referring to the marks in Part-B of the written objective type paper. (iii) Date of birth i.e. the candidate older in age gets preference. (iv) By referring to the alphabetical order of the names taking first name into consideration. Syllabus of written test : Questions on General Intelligence and reasoning will be non-verbal. Questions on Numerical aptitude and General English will be simple, of a level that an average Matriculate will be in a position to answer comfortably. Questions on General Awareness will be also of similar standard. A. General Intelligence : It would include questions of non-verbal type. The test will include questions on similarities and differences, space visualization, problem solving, analysis, judgement, decision making, visual memory, discriminating observation, relationship concepts, figure classification, arithmetical number series, non-verbal series etc. The test will also include questions designed to test the candidate s abilities to deal with abstract ideas and symbols and their relationship, arithmetical computation and other analytical functions. B. English language : Candidate s understanding of the basics of English language, its vocabulary, grammar, sentence structure, synonyms, antonyms and its correct usage etc. His/her writing ability would be tested. C. Numerical aptitude : This paper will include questions on problems relating to number systems, computation of whole numbers, decimals and fractions and relationship between numbers, fundamental arithmetical operations, percentages, ratio and proportion, averages, interest, profit and loss, discount, use of tables and graphs, mensuration, Time and distance, ratio and time, Time and work etc. D. General Awareness : Questions will be designed to test the ability of the candidate s general awareness of the environment around him/her and its application to society. Questions will also be designed to test knowledge of current events and of such matters of everyday observation and experience in their scientific aspects as may be expected of an educated person. The test will also include questions relating to India and its neighbouring countries especially pertaining to Sports, History, Culture, Geography, Economic scene, General Polity including Indian Constitution and Scientific Research etc. These questions will be such that they do not require a special study of any discipline. Numerical aptitude The paper will include questions on problems relating to Number Systems, Computation of Whole Numbers, Decimals and Fractions and relationship between Numbers, Fundamental Arithmetical Operations, Percentages, Ratio and Proportion, Averages, Interest, Profit and Loss, Discount, use of Tables and Graphs, Mensuration, Time and Distance, Ratio and Time, Time and Work etc. 2. The number of candidates to be called for the measurement of physical standards and screening test on the basis of merit in the written test shall be in the ratio of 1:10 to the number of vacancies. The physical test & screening test are only of qualifying nature. Cont. Pg. 8

8 [Page No.8] a) Measurement of physical standards (As per specifications mentioned in qualification) b) Screening test- Running of 100 meters in 15 seconds. Final grading will be decided on marks obtained in written test subject to qualifying in measurement of physical standards & screening test. GENERAL CONDITIONS: 1. Application form should be downloaded from website on A-4 size paper. Application form available on the website should only be used for application. 2. The applicant should clearly specify the post applied for in the space provided in the application format otherwise the application will be summarily rejected without any communication. 3. In case a candidate desires to apply for more than one post, separate applications complete in all respects should be forwarded 4. SC/ST/OBC certificates should be issued by competent authority and should be in the prescribed format applicable for reservation in jobs under Govt. of India. OBC certificate must specifically include the clause regarding exclusion from creamy layer and should be valid at the relevant point of time i.e. last date of receipt of application. 5. Persons working in Central / State Govt. / PSUs must apply through proper channel along with a certificate from their Head of Office/Establishment that neither any vigilance nor disciplinary action is pending or contemplated against them, and that they have no objection in releasing them in case of selection. Application not accompanying No Objection Certificate and/or received after due date will be summarily rejected without any communication. 6. Application in the prescribed format duly filled in all respects along with self attested copies of all certificates pertaining to qualification, age, caste and admit card(in duplicate) should be enclosed in an envelope superscribing APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF so as to reach The General Manager, Machine Tool Prototype Factory, Ambarnath within 21 days from the date of the publication of advertisement in the Employment news. Applications received after 1700 hours on the last date of receipt of application will not be considered. 7. Self attested photocopies of certificates in support of caste, qualification and age proof (10 th /High School pass certificate) must be enclosed with respect to the post applied for. Ex-servicemen should enclose copy of self attested discharge certificate. The PWDs should enclose self attested copy of physical disability certificate issued by the Competent authority. 8. Candidates must affix a self attested recent passport size photograph (not more than three months old) on the application form and on the admit card (in duplicate-one photograph on each card) at the place provided for it. 9. Candidates must send examination fees of `. 50/- in the form of Crossed Indian Postal Order (IPO) in favour of The General Manager, Machine Tool Prototype Factory, Ambarnath. The examination fee is not refundable. SC/ST, Ex-Servicemen and PHP candidates are exempted from fee. 10. Incomplete applications or applications received without prescribed fee/self attested copies of documents or received after due date will not be considered and will be rejected without any communication. 9 [Page No.9] 11. Visually handicapped (VH) candidates with visual disabilities of forty percent or above for the post of Lower Division Clerk/Multi-Tasking Staff can avail the facility of scribe. The candidate himself should arrange for the scribe and intimate the same at the time of applying for the examination. Persons with visual disability of less than forty percent will not be considered as visually handicapped persons. One eyed candidates and partially blind candidates who are able to read with or without magnifying glass will be allowed to use the magnifying glass in the Examination hall and will not be entitled to a Scribe. 12. Candidates appearing for examination will travel at their own expenses. Travelling allowance (only IInd Class Fare) will be reimbursed only for SC/ST candidates called for written test as per rules on production of Rail/Bus tickets by the shortest route. 13. Please note that bringing any outside, extraneous or political influence for getting employment in the factory shall render a candidate ineligible. 14. The candidates furnishing fake Experience Certificates/Caste Certificate or any other academic certificates are liable to be terminated after appointment. Apart from this, other suitable action may also be initiated as per the Law of the Land. Hence, candidates are advised not to submit dubious certificates. 15. GPF or DCRG Scheme is not applicable. The New Pension Scheme i.e. Defined contribution Pension Scheme is compulsory for all appointments in Central Govt. on or after The services are liable to be transferred to anywhere in India. 17. The number of vacancies is subject to variation depending upon the situation at relevant point of time. 18. The General Manager/Machine Tool Prototype Factory, Ambarnath reserves the right to shortlist candidates to be called for examination/test. Applicants may therefore note that mere fulfilling the minimum criteria/standard for a post will not entitle them for being called for such test. The factory will not entertain any correspondence/interim enquiry in this respect. 19. The post of Durwan is identified suitable for PH(OA), Lower Division Clerk for PH(OA, OL, BL, B, LV) and the post of MTS for PH(OA, OL, HH, LV, B) Abbreviations : OA-one arm, OL-one leg, BL-Both legs, B-Blind, LV-low vision, HH-Hearing handicap. 20. In case of any doubt, English version would stand.
