Finding humor helped me socially When you laugh, the world is much more open to friendship Makes world brighter and enjoyable Classmate s jokes weren t bad or stupid. They only wanted to make people smile. Laughter is what brings people together. I ve learned that even in the worst of times, laughter is always the cure for sadness. Don t wait as long as I did to open up to laughing; laughter is necessary for a healthy life. Get laughing!

One punch line makes everything feel all right for a second. Caught up in laughter, you seem to forget you shouldn t be smiling. Funny video or joke makes another person crack or smile. Spreads joyous feeling Laughter and humor are important because they lift the spirit. Without humor there would be no laughter to take part in. So crack a joke or over use puns. It just might make someone s day.

4 Expository 15 April 2014 STAAR 7 th Grade Controlling Idea Now I understand that laughter doesn t heal external wounds, but internal wounds. Laughter can brighten a day, lighten the mood, and even help a hurt friend. Sometimes people have bad days. Life is good, but horrible things can happen. Fire drill, dog eats homework, heated arguments Both sides are tense and angry. They can explode. Jokes make you smile. All other emotions fade away and happiness takes over. Family members die, parents divorce, natural disasters Makes people feel abandoned A smile, laugh or joke can be a reminder they aren t abandoned. Laughter can turn a frown upside down. True humor is fun it makes people feel wonderful. All they need is to laugh and all their troubles bad days, arguments, and loss will go away. Life is magnificent, and what better way to enjoy it than with a smile?

Laughter is precious bundling all your happiness and amusement into a single sound. Laughter is infectious Why it is important to laugh One giggle or snort can lead to a whole slew of gut-busting chortles. Many people bottle up their anger and sadness. It is much harder to hide happiness. That s why laughter is different from smiling. It is more easily noticeable, and thus easier to spread. It doesn t just make others happy. It makes you happy. You can find reasons to laugh, and the world will seem better. Laughter is a unique noise. It both conveys and creates amusement and happiness. So go ahead, laugh. The world will seem, and even be, a brighter place because of it.
