Winter Concert Lyrics! Dear 5 th Grade Chorus Members: Our school assembly is Tuesday, December 11 at 10:00 am. Our evening concert is Tuesday, December 6:30 pm at the Senior High School. Those concerts will be here sooner than you think!! Our mandatory dress rehearsal Monday, December 10 for all BMS chorus members from 6:00-8:00 at the SHS. This is our only chance to rehearse all together, so it is very important for you to be there. Here are the lyrics to all of our songs. Please study, study, study them! All songs must be memorized for our concert! You are sounding GREAT and I am so proud of you! Keep up the great work! -Mrs. Erevia 1
A Perfect Winter Day BLUE CHOIR It was a-snowin. The wind was blowin. The snow was fallin all around me. I was a slidin. My feet were glidin. It was a perfect winter day. YELLOW CHOIR Build a snowman! Build a snowman! A perfect winter day! I don t particularly like the winter. I always get (sniff) a head (sniff) cold I think it s cold and wet and messy and sloppy, Just a perfect winter (sniff), If you like that sort of thing. I have a headache. My eyes itch. My nose is clogged. Oh I feel crummy on this Perfect winter day. It was a-snowin. The wind was blowin. The snow was fallin all around me. I was a slidin. My feet were glidin. It was a perfect winter day. Build a snowman! Build a snowman! A perfect winter day! Build a snowman! Build a snowman! A perfect winter day! Yes, it s a perfect winter day! I have a headache. My eyes itch. My nose is clogged. Oh I feel crummy on this Perfect winter day. Perfect winter day! Achoo! 2
Blanco Es El Invierno ALL Snow white is the winter. Shining in the sun. Snow lay all around us. Blano es el invierno. Brillando en el sol. Nieve por todos lados. Tiempo de divertirse. Fall is done. Winter s here. Bringing winter cheer. WEDNESDAY Blanco Es el invierno. Brillando En el sol. Nieve Por todos lados. THURSDAY Snow white Is the winter. Shining In the sun. Snow lay All around us. 3
Please Let it Snow! BLUE CHOIR I thought how at ease I would be on my skis, Not singing along with a choir. I m hoping to skate not just sit here and wait Watching an old D.V.D. YELLOW CHOIR I pictured myself on a snowboard, Not sitting here board by the fire. My dream was building an igloo, Not lying here glued to T.V. ALL So, please let it snow. We all know there should be snow. So, please, let it snow, A foot, maybe two or three, or four, or maybe even more! I brought my toboggan, now I m only noddin Under this quilt made of down. I thought we could all go out sledding, But weather is letting us down. My dream was driving a skidoo. Not sit, doing nothing at all. There can t be a sleigh ride no matter how we tried, When outside it still feels like fall. So, please let it snow. We all know there should be snow. So, please, let it snow, A foot, maybe two or three, or four, or maybe even more! So, please let it snow. We all know there should be snow. So, please, let it snow, A foot, maybe two or three, or four, or maybe even more! So please let it snow, Let it snow! Let it snow! 4
Roller-Skatin Reindeer ALL It was late one night on Christmas Eve, Loadin up the sleigh, gettin ready to leave. Santa and his rockin reindeer crew. But a storm was coming, how it filled the sky. Had to take off soon, but they couldn t fly. What was old St. Nich las gonna do? They could take the bus, they could hop a plane, They could go by car, they could catch a train. Got to get their before the morning light. So Santa said, now we can t be late, So every reindeer a skate. Deliv ries made on rollerblade tonight! Go, go, rollerskatin reindeer, rollin on down the line. Ho, ho, rollerbladin reindeer, Santa and his band of nine. Old Rudie s out in front leadin the parade. Rockin and a rollin like he s made for the blade. Movin on through the snow, Roller-skatin reindeer, roller-skatin reindeer, Roller-skatin reindeer go! WEDNESDAY THURSDAY They rolled through the streets pullin Santa s sleigh. Reindeer with a red nose pavin the way. Movin and groovin in the glow of the sweet moonlight. Watch em scoop the loop right through the snow, Merry Christmas to all a good, good night. Santa lookin like a derby pro, he sings Merry Christmas to all a good, good night. Helmets ready, pads head to toe, Hold er steady Now watch them go! Rollerskatin reindeer go! Rollerskatin reindeer Go! 5
