1 Luke A. Literature and Composition 2/26/18 Jonny Jonny is your average 12-year-old boy and leads a fairly normal life. He loves to play video games and especially enjoys chillin with the homies, Rolo and Penny. Sometimes, when he believes he is alone with his homies, he exclaims to them, I love yawl so much. We re gonna be besties for the resties, and bursts out laughing as he gives them a great bear hug along with kisses. Although when he isn t hanging out with his cat and dog or playing video games, he likes to go shopping. Jonny doesn t particularly like shopping for clothes but loves shopping for the latest and greatest electronics. Now in the year 2018, there are so many releases of new tech; even though Jonny and his dad seek out to buy something every week, they never run out of stuff to buy. Once they even got a hovering go kart. Going shopping every week adds up, so it s convenient that his dad, Billy-Bob-Joe, is the president and founder of BBJ Industries. Jonny admires his dad for him raising the standards of smartphones and creating the most well-known smartphone company, Orange. Everyone recognizes the iconic orange with a slice missing on all Orange products. Jonny has almost all the Orange products including the Orange Watch, iorange, idot, Orange Home mini, and the iplatform. Like all rich kids, Jonny attends a fancy private school along with other rich kids with famous parents, one of which is Patrick. Patrick is a stuck-up snob whom Jonny always quarrels

2 with. They have been in the same school since kindergarten and are longtime enemies. Their disputes almost always go back to who s dad is better. Patrick s dad, Donald, is the owner and founder of Lamlung, a newer smartphone company and the main competitor of Orange. Although Lamlung electronics have gained some popularity in the recent years, it has always been second to Orange. Patrick and Jonny are also opposite in almost every way. Jonny has bright yellow luscious blonde hair while Patrick has short jet black hair that he wears slicked back; and even though they are both white, Jonny is a marshmallow compared to Patrick s coco complexion. Patrick leads considerably in athletic ability. He is the star and captain of the 6 th grade football team. Jonny isn t interested in sports, but he is the captain of his team in Fortnite, one of his many games. They have always duked it out and had fights but one day particularly stands out. It was like any other Tuesday for Jonny wake up at 5 am, play some games, and then go to school at 8. Today Jonny brought one of his dad s new prototypes for the new iorange phone. He went through the day showing it off and getting a lot of OO s and Ahh s. When it came lunch time, Jonny set his backpack down at his table and proceeded to the microwave to make his s mores. After he cooked it till it was a little black and crispy, just the way he likes it, he sat down among his friends. He took a fat bite out of the s more and began to announce the specs on the phone with strings of marshmallow hanging from his mouth; he jabbered an it even has 500 hundred terabytes of storage! That s 10 times the storage even Lamlung s best computer has! He paused as he took another lug out of the marshmallow sandwich, But that s not even the best part. It can fold out to be the size of a tv and stream 4k Netflix and play games on it!

3 His friends were astonished by this, clamoring, -impossible -how even -spulula woooow. After hearing this, Patrick got up from a nearby table and skedaddled to where Jonny was sitting. My dads got a phone coming out that ll be so far-more superior, it ll use that phone to wipe its butt! he boasted as he exaggeratedly bent over with his butt in Jonny s face and acted out what he said. The whole cafeteria burst out laughing as Jonny blushed and pulled his 4th untouched freshly made s more into two halves and said, Y all want to see somethin real funny? He stood up sticking out his chest trying to size up to Patrick as he wheeled the hot sticky s more s halves into Patrick s face and hair. Everyone in the cafeteria laughed even harder. Patrick stumbled back in disbelief as he tried to wipe the marshmallow from his face. At this point everyone started getting quiet cause they knew it was about to go down. Patrick looked at Jonny with his face smoldering red, and was shaking as veins started to pop out of his muscular arms and his forehead. You dirt bag piece of fat garbage! as he hurled himself at the defenseless blob of fat. He clocked Jonny with a right hook sending him sprawling to the ground. Jonny struggled to stand only to find himself being picked up and slammed onto the lunch table full of food. He slid down to the end of the table and into the wall. This time he quickly stood while Patrick was huffing and puffing down at the other end of the table yelling, Is that all you got? Come at me you happy meal sized marshmallow! Jonny gathered all of his strength and charged down the table to the beast on the other end. Jonny picked up as much speed as his chubby legs could carry him and jumped off the end of the table. He spread his arms as he soared through the air like an elegant elephant. Patrick was

4 so mad he didn t try to maneuver out of the way. Instead he ran forward and jumped a little to make the head on collision all the more powerful. Just as they were colliding, a teacher tried to step in and got caught in the middle of the impact and was knocked out as they all collided and caused a mini earth quake as they hit the ground. For a moment no one moved. Everyone was silent as the three of them lay there with blood splattered on the floor along with a few teeth. Jonny moved sluggishly and rolled over to reveal a bloody nose along with an eye so bruised he couldn t open it. He managed to pull himself up by the edge of the table. He studied Patrick to see he had given him a bloody nose, a torn shirt, and saw with his mouth hanging open, two front teeth were missing. Jonny quickly checked his own teeth and found only a few loose; then looming over Patrick, said, while sputtering due to the busted lip, That s what chu get for makin fun of me. He then proceeded to spit bloody saliva in Patrick s face. With that Patrick awoke in a daze and stood hastily. Looking defeated, he turned his back on Jonny and mumbled something under his breath. Jonny walked closer as he proclaimed, I sure did whoop your bu- but before he could finish, Patrick swiftly turned on his heels, gathering inertia, and put all of his force into his fist and landed a powerful blow on Jonny s left cheekbone. With that Jonny was knocked out as he went airborne and landed near the unconscious teacher. When Jonny finally woke up, he felt a throbbing pain all over his face. Through his one good eye, he noticed a IV in his arm and realized he was in a hospital. He stirred and someone came up to him and started signing to him. He knew straightaway it was his dad because he is

5 deaf. He explained what had happened and asked eagerly if Patrick was ok. His dad said he d be alright but was just a little beat up. Son, his dad signed, I know that this was not your fault, Patrick making fun of you, but maybe next time try to be more selfless and aware of what you are saying and doing because you probably hurt his feelings talking about my awesome new phone like that. I think maybe if you gave him one, it would smooth things over. Jonny contemplated this and decided to go make up with Patrick and he gave him the new phone. After this, they were friends forever and never fought ever again because fighting is not nice.
