3 Notices New Post-Birth Care and Mother s Health Check Services These new services are for caring for new mothers and their babies after childbirth. Post-Birth Care cares for new mothers and their babies, both physically and mentally/emotionally. Mother can also consult about childcare. This service can take place at Mizusawa General Hospital, or at the mother s home. Mother s Health Check Service This is a health check to make sure that a new mother is recovering physical and emotionally from childbirth. It is performed in the hospital where the baby was born. Oshu City pays part of the cost of this service. Oshu City Hall Health Promotion Division (Mizusawa Health Center Mother and Child Health Contact ) 3 Habits 7 Points to Prevent House Fires Don t smoke in bed. Use stoves/heaters away from easily burnable items. Turn cooking stoves off whenever you leave the room. 4 Countermeasures Install a fire alarm in your home, so you can be alerted to escape a fire before it s too late. Use beds/futons, clothing, curtains made of fire-resistant material. Keep a fire extinguisher in your home, so you can put out fires while they re still small. Cooperate as a neighborhood to protect vulnerable people like seniors and people with disabilities.
