1 Kelly Whisinnand Lesson Plan K-5 Music at Reeder Elementary It is the end of the year and everyone is full of energy excited for the summer! At Reeder, we always have one music class the last week of school called Camp Reeder! This has become one of my students favorite traditions and a great way to keep singing all the way up to the end of the year. I have a little black light, some fake logs (I made out of a pool noodle), and some yellow/orange scarves. I dim the lights and we have a fake campfire going in my room. The kids march in singing an echo song called Camp Reeder (lyrics below). The rest of the 30 minutes is filled with tons of hilarious camp songs, echo songs, and action songs. Below, I have written out my students all-time favorites. You can change or add any that love. If you are not familiar with the ones listed or not familiar with camp songs in general, here are two great resources: Ultimate Camp Resource - This is a great website filled with tons of songs, skits, and games. There are well over a hundred camp songs listed here with lyrics. Under about 50% of the songs, you will see a link to click that will take you to a video of kids singing the song so you know how it goes. YouTube If you are wondering how one song goes, do a quick search in YouTube. Every camp song on this list I have found kids singing on YouTube.
