That sounds pretty fancy, but it's actually not too complicated! A symmetrical shape can be folded over on itself perfectly. Take a look at the examples below: As you can see, some shapes have several lines of symmetry, which means they can be perfectly folded in on themselves in several ways! Quick Activity 1: Draw all of the lines of symmetry onto these shapes. Sometimes you'll be asked to complete a shape using its line of symmetry to help you.
