3 Class -II Activity 1: Read/visit any one children s magazine/website (Magic Pot, Children s World, Junior Chanda Mama, Little World, Young Angels, karaditales. com, etc). Write ten lines as to what you liked/disliked in it. ( words) Activity 2: Write one poem/story/puzzle/ letter, etc to the magazine/website that you would like to feature in, and send it to us as well. In case you hear from them or they get published, tell us too. ( words)

4 Class -III Activity 1: You wake up one morning and realize that you have been changed into a cartoon you love/hate to watch. What happens when you go to school? Share the day s experience. ( words) Activity 2: Are you planning a trip this vacation? Then pack your copy of The Global Times. Click a snap of yourself reading/displaying the newspaper beside the historical monument/famous spot (eg. Taj Mahal, London Bridge, Mountain Top, etc) and post the snap to us for printing in The GT.

5 Class -IV Story Time: Fairy tales and Short stories have caught the fantasy of children for centuries and have still not lost their charm. Have you ever thought of authoring a tale yourself? Well now is your chance to do so. Write a short tale of fantasy and let your creative temperament be revealed. Also illustrate your masterpiece with pictures. ( words) Twist in the tale: Pick-up your favourite fairy tale/story and rewrite the same in your own words with a twist or a new ending. ( words) Photo Manic: Capture the Moments - Happiest moment this summer / any other happy moment that you cherish -Moments that bring tears in your eyes, Mischievous Moments, Sweetest of sweet moments. Give a Caption to the Picture.

6 Class -V Travel Desk: Write a short essay on the place you visited during the vacation. Share the new things you saw, what it is famous for, etc. Enclose your best photographs of the trip too. ( words) Sports: (a)test your sports quotient with a sports quiz on any sport. ( words) (b) Share some important interesting discovery/goof-up/controversy/facts in sports ( words)

Write the game review cost/rating/ target age group/no. of players/what s exciting about it, why you would recommend it, etc (300 words) Comic Strip: Make an interesting original comic strip using not more than two A-4 size sheets of paper.

8 Class -VII Book Review: Read any Classic novel (eg: Tom Sawyers, David Copperfield, Treasure Islands) of your choice. Write a short review of the novel ( words). Mention why you like the book, what makes the book a classic, why you would like to recommend it to others etc. Quote few inspiring lines from the book. My First Experience: Share your first experience ( words) on anything eg: My First bank Account/My First Party/My First Gameboy/My First Trip/My First Success/My First Defeat/My First Contact with New Sibling / My first Computer etc

9 Class -VIII Website Review: Write a short review on any unique website that you visit regularly or stumbled upon. What are the highlights of the website? Give your own rating to the website. Would you like to recommend this to others? Why? ( words) Give a list of five websites that you consider a must for people surfing information on any topic ranging from health, education, environment, news, fashion, music, food, science etc ( words) AND Pearls of Wisdom: (a)write an inspirational/ spiritual quote or a story from our holy scriptures. Discuss its relevance in today s world. ( words) Camera Capers: Click photographs on moods, environment, city bloopers etc. Submit them with Captions for the column Camera Capers. Mention the camera model, aperture, shutter speed, exposure, lens, ISO etc.

10 Class -IX Good Samaritan: Identify a person/ organization from your surroundings that is doing exceptional work for the welfare of the society. Visit the person/organization and do an inspirational story. Enclose photographs of the same. (300 words) Mentor-wise: Interview a Celebrity/ Achiever. Enclose photographs of the same. (300 words)

11 Class X Urban Dictionary: Bored of the usual mundane drab words? It s time to revamp your word dictionary with stylish, trendy, innovative words that have seeped into our urban lingo. Eg: Frenemy : Friend+ enemy. They belong to a special category of friends that you hang around with despite the fact that you dislike them. The source of conflict in this kind of friendship may stem from varied reasons as competition, jealousy, love, greed etc. Prepare a list of five such words with their meaning and make a sentence with each of them. We shall share the best ones in our regular column Urban Dictionary. And Science Facts: Share interesting Science Facts and Discoveries. ( words)

12 Class -XI Big Story: Make a group of 5 people and do a research based Big Story of 1500 words on any topic of your choice. The story should be accompanied with survey findings, studies and comments of people associated with the story directly/indirectly.
