1 DREAM A LITTLE DREAM Narrator:... Welcome everybody to St Thomas Aquinas s first school production of Dream a little dream. We hope you all enjoy the performance tonight but to make it a little more enjoyable for everybody could you please turn off all mobile phones and keep younger children from coming onto or around the staging area. Thank You ACT 1 SCENE 1- Room scene Song: In my dream by Pancake Manor CURTAIN OPENS Five children in position SCENE 2- Bedroom scene Five leads:... Mum:... Five leads:... Walter:... Danny:... Walter:... Danny: (In sleeping bags lying on stage floor, chatting and laughing) (Off stage) Ok guys time to settle down now, It s late! Go to sleep Sweet Dreams, Don t let the bed bugs bite Laugh at last comment I never remember my dreams I always dream about what I want to be What are you going to be I m going to be a V8 supercar driver and win Bathurst I am going to win so you think you can dance! And be a super star
2 Genevieve: All:... I can t wait to grow up, in my dreams I am already old enough to be doing my own thing I don t want to ever grow up, parents are boring (Lie down to sleep) SCENE 3-Bedroom scene Song; What happens when you grow up by Peter Pan a Musical Peter lying down asleep wakes up when music begins, Wendy walks on stage just after Peter wakes up, Peter and Wendy sing the song. Wendy exits end of song, Peter lies back down and drifts off to sleep SCENE 4- Bedroom scene. Mumbles (In Sleep) (Wakes up and talks to Peter) Peter are you awake Mumbles to himself Peter were you talking in your sleep I don t know, I was asleep I need to go back to sleep, I have dance lessons in the morning On a Sunday? Yes I am practising for my audition What audition? I m auditioning for a part in a music video- I m so excited That s cool, Well stop waking me up and go back to sleep (Excited giggles) SCENE 5-Making a music video

(Applying powder to Lucy) (Claps scene starter) (Runs off stage) (Stands in pose ready for song to start) ACTION! Song begins Camera Men:... Director:... (Move cameras a little bit on side stage) (Moves across stage holding hands in square shape eyeing up Lucy, talks to cameramen and sits back in director s chair) (When song finishes director calls) Director:... All:... Cut! That s a wrap Clap at Lucy s performance SCENE 6-Bedroom scene All in sleeping bags asleep Walter:... All:... Walter:... Walter:... All: (Farts very loudly) Laugh at Walter (Puts head under the sleeping bag embarrassed) Oh Dutch oven!! Laugh again It s ok Walter, Don t Worry about it Song, Hakuna Matata By Lion King Song begins SCENE 7- School Corridor
4 CURTAIN CLOSES MINI PLAY (Ties in with play) Clock:... Book:... Narrator:... Baby:... Dancer:... Narrator:... As time goes by (looks at person walking as though not expecting and never seen before) (Stands up and walks from one side of room to the other) Well the story goes so far (Walks across stage) We have Peter who doesn t want to grow up (Crawls/ flies across stage) Lucy who wants to dance the night away (Dances across stage) And there s Walter who can t stop farting PoohWe! (waves hand in front of nose and looks for next walker) LUCKY there s no player for that part!! What does the second half of the story hold for us!! (Gestures for curtain to open) CURTAIN OPENS ACT 2 SCENE 1- Bedroom scene Genevieve:... Walter:... Genevieve:... (Sitting on stool looking out window, sad face) What s wrong Genevieve, you look a little sad No not sad, just confused Walter:... What s to be confused about we are only 12 Genevieve:... Walter:... I feel like I do the same things all the time, nothing changes We ve got plenty of time to worry about grown up stuff
5 Genevieve:... I can t wait until I m older, then life really begins SCENE 2- Genevieve bedroom Song, When will my life begin by tangled SCENE 3-Bedroom scene Danny:... Sits up in bed and starts (A sleep) driving a car holding a steering wheel driving crazy and changing gears Danny, Danny? (Still driving a car in his sleep) Danny, Danny(A little louder) (Wakes up and looks around, wondering what s going on) What are you doing? I don t know You were driving a racing car in your sleep Cool Was I any good? You ll never win Bathurst Oh well there s always thunder road SCENE 4-Mechanics Garage Song Greased Lightening by Grease a musical SCENE 5-Bedroom Scene (Parents down stage chatting drinking coffee) Lucy s Mum: Genevieve:... Hurry up Lucy we have to get going; you have an audition today Ok Coming Mum I had the strangest dream last night Maybe we ate too much food

(Looking very sheepish) Nah seriously I swear I saw Danny sit straight up in bed pretending to drive a race car WOOW, YEH!! Go Danny! This is all just too weird, I think we should keep this to ourselves Don t worry where all in this together!!
