5 My vacation in Prague! By Stanley Gerber I went to Prague ten years ago. It wasn't the best vaca5on, but it was interes5ng. There are a lot of great museums in Prague. My favourite was the Na5onal Gallery. I saw some old and famous Euro- pean pain5ngs there. I took a tour by boat on the Vltava River. And I walked in the city every day. That s usually the best way to see things. I also visited the Prague Castle. There are many types of food in Prague. The hotel served three meals everyday, but most of the 5me, I ate at a restaurant across from my hotel. The food wasn't great, but it was cheap. It was a lot cheaper than food in my town. I took buses, and I took the subway, too. They were good. The bus drivers were friendly. The subway sta5ons were clean. They were cleaner than our subway sta5ons at home. Using public transport in Prague is a great experience, unlike in my city. My hotel was awful. The bed was older than my grandmother, and there weren't any chairs. But it was n t as bad as I thought. I met an interes5ng person there. He's a doctor from Brazil. He speaks Portu- guese, English, and some Czech. We are s5ll friends. Next spring, I'm going to go to Vienna with him and his wife. The best way to travel is to do it with other people. 40 Stanley met a Portuguese doctor. Use the following to answer questions 41-44: [ 4 marks ] Read the text.
