Ethan Watkin, age 10 The 13-Storey Treehouse is an amazing funny story and I loved it! The tree house is unbelievable and I want one just like it. I loved the 13-Storey Treehouse book and it is one of the funniest things I have read for a long time. It s not so much of a story and more a day in the life of the boys in their unbelievable tree house. I read the book after a few days and couldn't put it down. If you like the Julius Zebra books you will love this and I am looking forward to the next book in the series already. Diya Budhdeo, age 8 Amazing...fun...different. Great book for kids...illustration and story line is brilliant. This is an amazing book. Such a brilliant and different book. It s got so many adventures in it and so many surprises. The author and the illustrator did a fantastic job and really went for it. There is a lot of creative ideas in this book and lots of funny moments and pictures. The characters had a variety of emotions. The scene were very fascinating and things that you could only dream of. Great book.

2 James McNichol, age 7 I really liked this book. I really, really quite liked this book although the mermaid sea monster was a bit ugly and might frighten young children. My favourite part was when Terry blows his bubble-gum bubble. My least favourite part of the book is when they show you the sea monster s face but apart from that it is a really good book. I read the whole book in an hour and a half. Huxley Glen, age 7 What a laugh out loud read this book is, it is so funny seeing what these characters get up to in their treehouse. Can't wait to read more like it. What a great book, it is a very funny action packed book from start to finish. We couldn't stop laughing at some of the adventures the characters get up to. It is full of very funny illustrations which really help bring the story to life and make you feel like you are there to. It is an easy read and we can't wait to read further books in this series. Lucy Collings, age 7 An adventure story set in the most amazing treehouse you have ever dreamt about. This book is about two people called Andy and Terry and is also written by Andy and Terry! Andy writes the books and Terry draws the pictures. This book is funny and exciting. I think it should be recommended to all ages. The boys live in the most amazing tree house you have ever dreamt about. It has a bowling alley, a man-eating shark tank and a lemonade fountain. I wish I lived there too! Join these two boys on an adventure to stop a flying cat and defeat an angry gorilla then write a book which takes a long time. 3 Lots of comic style illustrations make this book really reader friendly even though it is a longer chapter book. It is part of a series and the idea that the authors have written themselves into the story adds an extra dimension. I would love to have a tree house like this myself. Ollie and Toby Hopwood, age 8 and 6 Imagine someone peered into my kids minds, saw all their favourite things and squeezed that into a book, and you will have a pretty good idea of The 13-Storey Treehouse. If you can imagine that two people were able to peer into the minds of my kids, pick out everything the kids thought was cool and funny, then squeeze all of it into a book, then you would have a pretty good idea of what The 13-Storey Treehouse is like. Daft and inventive, Andy Griffiths and Terry Denton had the kids screaming with laughter as the heroes of the story escaped the clutches of a ravenous sea monster, battled unexpected monkeys using a giant banana and were rescued from an oversized gorilla by a squadron of flying cats. The engaging illustrations had the kids dreaming of lemonade fountains, marshmallow machines and tanks full of pet sharks, and sent them running for a pencil and paper to design their own fantasy tree house. With an emphasis on illustrations and fairly short stretches of text, this is an ideal book for engaging young readers. It also encourages visual literacy as kids can spend hours poring over the pages of detailed illustrations as well as younger readers using the plentiful simpler illustrations to help them to understand the text. We can t wait to read the other books in the series and find out what happens next. Mark Dunn, age 7 If you tried to imagine a really big and cool tree house to live in with your best mate and have mad and funny adventures you would come up with this story. If you like Diary of a Wimpey Kid books you will definitely like this book! Actually I think this book is even better. There are lots of funny cartoons to illustrate the story which is of Andy and Terry who live in a massive tree house with all sorts of contraptions and machines to make their lives fun. They are supposed to be writing a book but end up have loads of funny adventures instead.

4 I liked the marshmallow machine and the catapult and the book made me laugh a lot. I tried to think of what I would put in a tree house if I could have anything at all and I loved their ideas. It sounded like a place you would love to go after school. We have ordered some of the other books as it is a series. I hope they are as good. Sam and Jack, age 7 and 5 A funny, laugh-out-loud book that all the family can enjoy! The humour is pitched just right and the illustrations are excellent! Giggles galore! We loved this quirky book about man-eating sharks, chaosinducing sea monkeys, giant bananas, catnaries, gorillas and so much more! The humour was pitched perfectly, and really complimented by the brilliant illustrations. We were all laughing out loud the whole way through! We also think the puzzles at the end are an excellent idea. (Mummy is a teacher, and has already recommended to lots of children who were eager to get their hands on a copy too!) It is about two boys called Andy & Terry, they live in the world s best treehouse because it has 13 floors with lots of different rooms like a underground laboratory, a tank with man eating sharks, a see through swimming pool, a bowling alley, a kitchen, a theatre, a library, the boys bedrooms, a games room, swinging vines, a room full of pillows, a lemonade fountain and a giant catapult. The story is about the boys getting attacked by monkeys and also a giant gorilla tries to knock down the treehouse whilst they are trying to write a book. 5 Elsa, aged 10 - Baring Primary School The 13-Storey Treehouse is a very clever book because the graphics are brilliant by Terry Denton and it is very well written by Andy Griffiths. Also the two main characters are called Terry and Andy! I love this book because it s full of humour and it s rounded of really well; so I would really, really, really recommend it! Abbie, aged 9 - Baring Primary School A really good, amazing book. I think if everyone reads this book, it will be great because it s a hilarious book. I also like the cartoon romance because Terry kissed a mermaid/sea monster. Anyway, it s very funny because the boys are trying to make a story for Mr Big Nose. I know why it s called The 13 Storey Treehouse it s because the book has 13 chapters and different stories in each chapter. I LOVE this book! Kaiden Smith, age 6 This book was one of my favourite books and I think it is very good it made me laugh and I want to read the others now. This book was funny to read and I loved all the adventures they had. I read it very well and it wasn t too difficult to read.
