CD Soundtrack Rubric Soundtrack Songs My CD contains 10 or more tracks that closely relate to the issues and themes presented in the story My CD may have 8+ tracks, but some of them do not relate to the major issues and themes in the story. My CD tracks do not relate to the themes and issues presented the story at all. Cover Art My CD cover art is spectacular! It looks like it belongs on a store shelf! It also correctly includes the story title, author, and my full heading. My CD cover is a good effort, but could use more work in some areas. It almost rocks but I need to put in a little more work and effort overall. My CD cover doesn t rock at all. It has several errors and/or it needs great work. Inside Cover My inside cover includes a neat, complete list of each song title, artist, and how it relates to the story. All the songs tie in. It is error-free, polished work! My inside cover may include important information, but it needs more work or has a few errors. A good effort, but I could have worked a little harder to produce a more quality piece overall. Scratch! The inside of my CD cover is not complete. I need to spend more time working on this piece. Presentation to Class I showed knowledge and understanding of the content during my presentation to the class. I clearly explained why the songs I chose go with specific parts of the story. Let s rock! I showed that I understood the story when I presented in my song choices, but did not explain how they specifically relate to the story. Oh no! I did not make the connection between my music and my beloved story.

2 COMIC BOOK FLIP, FLIP, FLIP Chapter Comic Book Rubric COMIC BOOK PAGES I took the story or a great part of a chapter in the book to recreate eight neat, organized comic book pages. I truly summarized the entire story/chapter in eight comic pages. I need to go back to the drawing board. I do not have eight complete comic book pages yet. CAPTIONS AND DIALOGUE My captions and dialogue are neat, error-free, top quality work! I need a little help with the overall quality of my work. I have some errors and/or messiness to sort through. I really did not put much effort into rereading a chapter and recreating it as a comic. I need to go back to the drawing board. DRAWINGS Each of my drawings is detailed and high quality. I could put more effort into some of my drawings. I have a good start but need to work on the quality of some of my pictures. Awww, man! I did not put the necessary effort into my work PRESENTATION TO THE CLASS I clearly explained to my class how my comic book pages summarized the story or chapter s important parts with ease. My understanding of the major events is clear. My class had some difficultly recognizing how my comic book pages related to the story they are familiar with. My comic pages were not similar to the story.
