THE SHOWS ACTING INDUCTION SHOWCASE 26 September pm Ticket Price - free PG A showcase of curriculum work from induction workshops exploring a range of performance skills and practitioners. THE SILVER SCREEN September pm Ticket Price PG A celebration of student work and what can be achieved in just four short weeks. Dance and musical theatre students invite you to join them at the movies in this celluloid sensation exploring the world of Hollywood and beyond. So grab your popcorn, turn off your mobile phone, sit back, relax and enjoy the film! LEVEL 2 ACTING INDUCTION: TWO BY JIM CARTWRIGHT 18 October pm Ticket Price - free PG BTEC First Acting, curriculum assessment, present scenes from Jim Carwright s Two. TWO is an award winning comic play filled with twists and turns. Taking place over the course of one evening the play highlights the rocky relationship of the landlord and landlady of a busy local pub; we meet fourteen assorted characters, as the colourful regulars pull up a stool and let us into their lives. Sometimes humorous, sometimes poignant, yet always incredibly human, the play reveals the lives and loves, the triumphs and tragedies of ordinary people and shows that they are far less ordinary than you might think.
DAISY PULLS IT OFF BY DENISE DEEGAN November pm Ticket Price Daisy Pulls It Off is a parody of wholesome adventure stories about life in a 1920s girls English boarding school, such as those by Angela Brazil. Daisy Meredith, the new girl, is the first scholarship student to attend the Grangewood School for Girls. The privileged students are determined to make Daisy look bad in the eyes of the administration. Daisy wins over her chums and saves the day when she cracks a secret code, finds a treasure and saves the life of her chief nemesis all on the same night! A long running success in London s West End, this inventive spoof of English school girl adventure novels is a perfectly ripping yarn! HAVE YOURSELF A MERRY LITTLE CHRISTMAS (MUSICAL) December pm Ticket Price U We have Christmas all wrapped up with this sensational seasonal spectacular. Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas promises to be a non-stop extravaganza of song and dance. This festive and fun-filled celebration features an eclectic mix of both seasonal and year-round favourites, with famous and much-loved showstoppers alongside more traditional Christmas songs. Mince pies, merriment and magic guaranteed.
CHRISTMAS CONCERT 19 December pm St Philip s Church Ticket Price - free U An evening of carols, songs and readings to celebrate the Christmas season. AN EVENING WITH KEVIN MATTHEWS AND FRIENDS 18 January pm Donations on the door U Former professional singer and Pendleton Production and Performing Arts Vocal Coach, Kevin Matthews, invites you to join him for a recital that will include students in a diverse musical programme, from opera to current musical theatre composers; a song for everyone! This evening will be raising money for the NEWLIFE charity.
THE HISTORY BOYS BY ALAN BENNETT 27 February - 2 March pm Ticket Price An unruly bunch of bright, funny sixth-form boys in a British boarding school are, as such boys will be, in pursuit of good times, sport, and a place at a good university - generally in that order. In all their efforts, they are helped and hindered, enlightened and bemused, by a maverick English teacher who seeks to broaden their horizons in sometimes undefined ways, and by a young history teacher who questions the methods, as well as the aim of their schooling. In Alan Bennett s classic play, staff room rivalry and the anarchy of adolescence provoke insistent questions about history and how you teach it; about education and its purpose. ALL THE FUN AT THE FAIR 7 & 8 March pm Ticket Price - free U An exciting array of curriculum achievements showcasing Year 1 and 2 Dance and Musical Theatre students. An evening exploring different dance genres in a fantastic festival of fairground fun. CHILDREN S THEATRE SHOWS March 2018 Ticket Price - TBC Invitation Only A festival of highly original and creative Children s entertainment and theatre in education presented to primary school groups

With her lasso and shield Diana Prince will become the infamous Wonder Woman. This popular comic creation will be explored and brought to life through the medium of dance. Ticket Price - free PG In our digital age, we are accustomed to regularly interacting with many kinds of digital media and much of the work of experimental artists over recent years has explored this development. In their Final Major Project level 2 students will experiment with technology and materials, and develop skills in how to plan and incorporate media into live performance. This show promises to be an exciting departure from the more traditional performance conventions covered in the course.
