2 PERFORMER S CONTRACT I understand that my participation in Aladdin Jr takes lots of time and commitment. It will require me to attend ALL but two rehearsals. This production is 100% VOLUNTEER and I understand that my parent/parents will be required to volunteer in some capacity. Parents may sign up for an area of their choice (SEE NEXT PAGE) OR assignments will be made where help is needed. The MANDATORY (can NOT be missed!) Tech and Dress Rehearsals are MARCH 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th (We know that March 4th is a teacher prep day. Please adjust travel schedules accordingly) Aladdin Jr. will be performed March 8th, 9th (Matinee and evening shows on the 9th) and 11th at Timberline Middle School. I also agree to pay a $40 costume donation and I agree to dry clean my costume once the show is over. I understand that the Director and Assistants are all volunteer. I will be respectful of their time and come to rehearsals ready to learn and work. I understand that if I cannot be respectful of myself, fellow cast members and Directors, my parent may be asked to accompany me to my rehearsals and/or I will be excused from participating in the show. I understand there are risks connected with my participation in this theatrical production and its related activities. I release and discharge Westfield Elementary School, Timberline Jr. High and all production workers, from all action, suits and demands whatsoever in law or in equity, including but not limited to, the risk of personal injury from participating in Aladdin Jr. and the risk of loss of personal property by theft or otherwise; Parent Signature: Student Signature: All lines and music should be memorized by Jan. 15 th. 3 **PARENT COMMITMENT** This production is 100% volunteer. It requires a lot of work and support from you, the parents. In order to have a successful production, we will need help from EVERYONE. Your child s participation in Aladdin Jr. also commits you to volunteer in one or more of the following areas below. If you do not make a choice, a choice will be made for you PARENTS WILL ALSO BE ASSIGNED TO HELP WITH REHEARSAL AND BACKSTAGE SUPERVISION DURING TECH & DRESS REHEARSALS AND DURING PERFORMANCES. 4 Publicity designs, prints & distributes posters and other advertising Tickets designs and oversees selling at Westfield and the night of the show Sound & Light Crew Stage Crew assists backstage where needed during dress/ tech rehearsal and during the production Make-up & Hair Green Room Lead volunteer Every parent will sign up for a shift or be assigned. We are looking for a lead Coordinator for this Cast/Stage Manager Cast Party Coordinator Wherever most needed I authorize Westfield Elementary School to use, with discretion, my child s image for promotional purposes in print, web and video presentations without expectation of compensation. 5 Audition Procedures and Special Notes: 1. Sign in and receive your audition number and your audition forms if you haven t already filled them out. 2. Please fill out your audition and parent volunteer forms. 3. Have your picture taken if you have forgotten your picture. 4. Get your measurements recorded. 5. Please go into the gym to learn a short dance. 6. Participate in dance audition. 7. Please wait patiently in the waiting area for your singing audition. 8. Be respectful of those auditioning by staying quiet and listening to directions at all times. Please no running around in the hallways or in the gym. 9. Groups of 6-8 will be taken into the singing audition. 10. Parents will NOT be able to watch auditions. 11. PLEASE REMEMBER: everyone is unique and important to us. Casting is a tedious and difficult process. We will do our best to keep things moving along and to stay on schedule. If we get behind, please be patient. Our goal is to insure that everyone gets an equal opportunity to audition. We will take the time needed to insure this happens.

7 It s that time of year! Auditions for the Westfield school Musical are coming up! November 12th 3rd-4th graders 2:00-5:00pm November 13th 5th-6th graders 3:30-6:30pm Choreography will take place the first half hour of each day. Make sure you are on time so you don t miss out on a very important part of the auditions. Please be prepared with a song. You will be taught the dance at the auditions. Call backs will be November 15th from 3:30-6:00pm. We will post the list for Call backs the night of November 13th. There are tons of fantastic parts in this show!
