Celebrated by The National Endowment for the Arts and the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (NARAS) with Lifetime Achievement Awards, inducted into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame, and winners of five Grammy Awards, they have attained the highest levels of achievement in a career that spans over 60 years. The Blind Boys are known for crossing multiple musical boundaries with their remarkable interpretations of everything from traditional gospel favorites to contemporary spiritual material by songwriters such as Ben Harper, Eric Clapton, Prince and Tom Waits. They have appeared on recordings with Bonnie Raitt, Tom Waits, k.d. lang, Lou Reed, Peter Gabriel, Willie Nelson, Susan Tedeschi, Solomon Burke, Aaron Neville, Ben Harper and most recently Justin Vernon, Patty Griffin, Merrill Garbus and Sam Amidon on their latest recording I ll Find A Way. The Blind Boys of Alabama have made appearances on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno, Late Night with David Letterman, The Grammy Awards, 60 Minutes, The Colbert Report and their own holiday special on PBS.

Our Social Enterprise business model provides free programs for the community supported by each event appearance. When a client books Playing By Air for corporate events, team building, and conferences, we provide free programs to children s hospitals, schools, and non-profits in their community. Our company has a long history of partnerships with hospitals and charities throughout the country, with an innovative approach to connect corporate clients, performing arts presenters, and local non-profit organizations. 5 JOHN PIZZARELLI APRIL 1 AT 8:00P John Pizzarelli, the world-renowned guitarist and singer, was hailed by the Boston Globe for reinvigorating the Great American Songbook and re-popularizing jazz. The Toronto Star pegged him as the genial genius of the guitar. And the Seattle Times saluted him as a rare entertainer of the old school. Established as one of the prime contemporary interpreters of the Great American Songbook, Pizzarelli has expanded that repertoire by including the music of Joni Mitchell, Neil Young, Tom Waits, Antônio Carlos Jobim and Lennon-McCartney. His themed shows, often performed with his wife Jessica Molaskey, suggest there is no limit to Pizzarelli s imagination or talent.
