1 MAKE IT POP Season 2 A half-hour musical comedy telenovela Created by Thomas W. Lynch and Nick Cannon MAKE IT POP follows three girls in boarding school Sun Hi, Jodi, and Corki who come together in their love of music to form a pop band called XO-IQ with their DJ friend, Caleb. Make it Pop is a mash-up of comedy, kids and pop. Sun Hi is a social media guru determined to be a star, Jodi is a cutting-edge fashion designer in the making, and Corki is a top-notch student with an incredible voice. When these three join forces with their DJ and composer friend, Caleb, they re unstoppable. Together, they turn an old roller rink into a cool teen dance club. With fashion flare, funky style, EDM beats and killer dance moves, it s always a blast! Through it all, the girls overcome problems and find the fun. Because everything can use a little pop and shine. And these girls bring the shine. Often with great mishap. The awesome result is Make it Pop! CASTING THE FOLLOWING ROLES: Carter Hamilton: 15 years. Open Ethnicity. - A new freshman and guitar virtuoso, Carter is a rock star in the making and could give anyone lessons in cute and swag. Carter respects the history of boy bands from The Beatles to One Direction. The Justins (Bieber and Timberlake) are his muses. Even Jared is threatened by Carter s all around perfection. Carter is a rascal. He wants what he wants and gets it through charm, devious strategy, or sheer will. He is also an astronomer and loves the stars. We re seeking talent that can actually play the guitar and sing. Talent cannot have a pre-existing Recording, Touring and Label agreement. Talent Must be CANADIAN AND A TORONTO LOCAL.TBD if the talent will be under option. Alex Kim: 15 years. Open Ethnicity. - Freshman Alex Kim is a heartthrob with musical chops. He has been at school all along, but, over the holidays, had a growth spurt. A skater kid, he can crush it on a skateboard, and has a street artist talent and sensibility. Alex is also interested in fashion and wears incredibly cool clothes. Seeking a strong singer. IF the artist can also play an instrument and dance it would be good to show this on his self tape. Talent cannot have a pre-existing Recording, Touring and Label agreement. Talent Must be CANADIAN AND A TORONTO LOCAL.TBD if the talent will be under option. This could even be a candid photo as long as it looks just like you and you re the only one in the photo!) Your self taped audition (This should be sent via a link such as youtube - PLEASE SEE DETAILED INSTRUCTIONS ON THE NEXT PAGE). Please set the privacy settings so that the video is unlisted. Auditions must not be made public. Your audition submission WILL NOT be considered if any forms are missing. 4 MAKE IT POP AUDITION INSTRUCTIONS If interested in auditioning, please send a SELF TAPE following the instructions below. Donʼt forget anything or else we wonʼt be able to consider your audition! READ EVERYTHING CAREFULLY BEFORE ASKING US QUESTIONS. 1. Frame the camera so we can see the performer from head to toe (full body shot). State full NAME, CITY, AGE, HEIGHT and AGENCY (if applicable). Keep in mind we can only hire a Canadian who can work as a Toronto local. 2. Frame yourself so that youʼre framed from the top of the head to the mid-chest area and keep that frame for the rest of the audition. If you are filming on a mobile device, make sure you are holding it horizontally so that itʼs shot in LANDSCAPE orientation, not portrait. 3. Sing us a song. If you can play an instrument, show us. For the role of Carter, you must be able to play guitar, so make sure you show off your skills on the self tape. Weʼre looking for a garage band / edgy party rocker sound. Fun and rebellious. Ideally weʼd like you to cover a power-pop version of any of the following bands: The Ramones, The Killers, Imagine Dragons, Hozier, AWOLNATION, Mumford and Sons, Black Keys, Kings of Leon, Jet or Foo Fighters. We want to see your personality so donʼt be shy when youʼre singing/playing. 4. Next, present the audition sides. Have a reader stand beside the camera opposite you and use that person as your eye line. Do not look in the camera. Make sure to use a nice clear voice. Speak in a standard American accent. This is a COMEDY, so you really need to show off your comedic chops. Keep it and funny! Be sure to memorize the lines and feel free to tape the scene as many times as youʼd like but only send us ONE take, the BEST take. 5. IF you can dance, show off some of your best dance moves. IMPORTANT: Make sure that the audition video is of good quality. The lighting and sound are key we want to be able to clearly see and hear, so shoot the audition somewhere quiet and well lit (natural light is always great!). Look your best for the audition. If you have facial hair, please be sure to be cleanshaven. In terms of wardrobe, think of a cool, bold fashion statement that screams individuality. For the role of Alex, the sides say that he has platinum blonde hair donʼt worry, thatʼs not a requirement for the role! Everything okay? Nope. I mean yup! Just regular old nice me being my nice self. (leans in) Very genuine, of course. O-kay... PULLS OUT A POSTER AND PROUDLY PASSES IT TO. DEFLATES. Spent all day mocking up a new poster for us... You and me... Gave us equal billing -- photos, position and font size. Wow! Not bad! I mean, not good. But it s not entirely terrible. You did spell my name right. Anyway, couple minor tweaks...

6 2. (CONT D) (a mile a minute) Fix this font, ditch that border, let s go with a matte finish, the resolution s crap, there s a focus issue on my eyes, the logo s cheesy, that s gotta go... FADES.
