6 DRAMA LEVEL 2 $275 $50 Deposit, $225 Tuition PAGE TO STAGE classes designed for Students Grades 2 & 3 Level 2 classes continue to emphasize the importance of character as our Professional Theater Artists guide the students to create an original play. Acting Techniques are explored through warm-ups and theater games. Plays at this level have more plot points and dramatic elements than Level 1. Each week scenes are added and rehearsed. Students will present their original plays for family and friends on the last day! Musical theater 1 (60 minute acting & singing class) Grades 4-6 Tuesday 4:15-5:15 p.m. January 10- April 11 $325 for 13-week Spring Session $50 Deposit, $275 Tuition due on first day of Spring Session Grades 7 and up Wednesday 5:15-6:15 p.m. January 11- April 12 $325 for 13-week Spring Session $50 Deposit, $275 Tuition due on first day of Spring Session REQUIREMENTS: No previous experience required. Be a spy, a villain, a detective, or maybe a brave magician from Hogwarts - you decide. Solve the Clues and get ready to shine in your Detective Dramas Show of Shows! PAGE TO STAGE ADVENTURES $275 Wednesday 4:30-6:00 p.m. January 25 - April 12 An Amazing Adventure awaits you and your class as you choose the best characters from the world of books for your one of a kind show. Become your favorite character as you and your class bring the Page to the Stage! Costume Design WORKSHOP Grades 3 and up Monday - Friday 4:30-6:00 p.m. February Work with DCT s own Lyle Huchton as he leads a handson costume design workshop. This workshop will take inspiration from our Shows of the Season of Plays. Students will be invited to design and create a costume for a character from a DCT show. Design students might make a costume for a creature from the world of Dr. Seuss (Seussical), a Peanuts character (A Charlie Brown Christmas), an otherworldly creature of the night (Dracula), or an amazing Insect (James and the Giant Peach). Or our design students may choose another character from the fantastic world of DCT to bring to life in this totally creative costume design workshop. Students will present their designs to their parents at the end of the week and then take their creations home. $150 (includes all supplies) 5 BE A STAR $275 Saturday 10:00-11:30 a.m. January 21 - April 8 Time to get on the DCT stage and be a Star. INTERMEDIATE Grades 4-6 $275 $50 Deposit, $225 Tuition Classes at this level offer options: Create a Play with Advanced Characterizations; Learn Lines and Blocking with Pre-scripted materials; or Create and Star in an Original Movie! Students at this level work with DCT Theater Professionals on Acting Techniques. Or they may explore the world of video in more specialized classes. This fun class is a venture into the world of Broadway musical theater! Students will perform songs from Broadway shows and learn musical theater choreography. The class will also learn how to read music, proper vocal technique, basic music theory and ear training, and how to act a song and dance. Students will also receive valuable information about auditioning for musicals and plays. This class will offer the opportunity for students to improve their skills at Singing and Dancing. DCT Glee is an exciting vocal performance class at the DCT Academy! Students will enjoy performing classic and contemporary pop, as well as musical theater songs. Skills practiced in this class include learning how to read music, singing harmony, and understanding basic vocal technique. Come and sing - with DCT Glee! MAKIN MOVIES $275 OUT Wednesday 4:30-6:00 p.m. January 25 - April 12 Work with DCT s own Karl Schaeffer to Create a Movie Masterpiece! Each student will choose their character, get scripted lines, act in the Movie and help run the Video Equipment! Students receive a copy of the final Screenplay and Movie! ACTING FOR THE STAGE $275 OUT Thursday 4:30-6:00 p.m. January 26 - April 13 Students choose a favorite character from the DCT stage. Make your character your own: How they walk, how they talk!
