2 The Book of Mormon is a show performed at the Prince of Wales Theatre in London. 1

3 To watch The Book of Mormon you will need a ticket. If you need to collect your tickets at the theatre, you will queue to enter the building using the front doors. It can be busy and noisy. The front doors of the theatre are located on Coventry Street and look like this: 2

4 Once you are inside the theatre, you will go to the Box Office to collect your tickets. The Box Office is a large counter with a glass window located inside the building near to the front doors. After collecting your ticket you will show it to an usher, who will tear the ticket and you will go into the theatre foyer. 3

5 If you already have your ticket when you arrive at the theatre, then you will queue to enter using the doors at the side of the building. These are located on Oxendon Street. It can be busy and noisy. Ushers will be stood by the side doors and will ask to see your ticket as you enter the building. An usher will tear your ticket and you will go into the theatre foyer. Security guards work for the theatre. They conduct security checks by asking to look inside people s bags as they enter the building. 4

6 Inside the theatre you will see lots of ushers who work for the theatre. They are there to help and will answer any questions you may have. Ushers wear a uniform that looks like this: 5

7 You will see ushers selling Programmes, Brochures and CDs inside the theatre. Programmes and brochures have information and pictures about the show and the actors. 6

8 If you need to use the toilet please look for these signs or ask an usher for directions. 7

9 There are two bars in the Prince of Wales theatre which sell refreshments. This is the American Bar. This is the Delfont Bar. 8

10 The inside of the theatre is called the auditorium, this is where the seats and stage are located. This is what the auditorium looks like at the Prince of Wales Theatre: 9

11 There are signs in the theatre which can help you to find your way around the building. If your seats are in the Stalls you will go through a door that looks like this. 10

12 If your seats are in the Circle you will need to walk up some stairs like these. You will go through a door like this which leads to the Circle level of the auditorium. 11

13 If your seats are in a Loge you will need to walk up some stairs like these. You will go through a door like this which leads to the Loges in the auditorium. 12

14 When you enter the auditorium you will show your ticket to an usher, who will show you where your seat is. It will be noisy inside the auditorium and lots of other people will be sitting near you. 13

15 Tickets will look different depending on where they are purchased from. Your ticket will always show which seat you have to sit in. There are letters at the end of each row of seats and a number on each individual seat. These help you to find the seat that you need to sit in. 14

16 When it is time for the show to start, an announcement will remind everyone to turn off their mobile phones. The lights will go out and it will be dark in the auditorium. Everyone will try to be quiet and sit still. Music will play loudly and the stage will be lit. Actors will come out on stage, the show has started. There will be songs during the show and actors will dance. 15

17 After each song, some people will clap to show the actors that they liked it. If the clapping is too loud you can cover your ears or wear headphones if you brought them with you. 16

18 If you would like to take some time out you can ask an usher, who will show you to a quiet place. You can watch the show on a television screen in a quiet place if you want to so that you will not miss anything. 17

19 If there is an emergency and you are asked to leave the building,follow these signs to help you to find the nearest exit. Ushers are trained to help evacuate the audience and will direct people outside. 18

20 Halfway through the show there will be a break called an interval. The show will stop for 15 minutes and the lights in the auditorium will get brighter. During the interval you can use the toilet or buy a drink at one of the bars. You can also buy snacks, such as ice cream. At the end of the interval there will be announcements asking everyone to go back to their seats. Audience members will go back into the auditorium and sit down. 19

21 It will get dark and quiet in the auditorium. The show will start again suddenly and loudly. At the end of the show everyone will clap their hands to show the actors that they have enjoyed the show. If the clapping is too loud you can cover your ears or wear headphones if you brought them with you. 20

22 When the show has finished the lights in the auditorium will get brighter again. You will leave the theatre by going out of the nearest exit. We hope you enjoy your trip to the Prince of Wales Theatre. 21
