As a cinema advertiser we can offer you so many benefits: First of all, we listen to what you want and then advise you on the kind of cinema advertising that s best for you. This ensure you get maximum target audience penetration. We have some 55 Dutch cinemas in 51 cities in our network that s a total of 156 theatres and 24,000 seats. The cinemas in which we show advertisements attract more than six million cinema visitors each year. So a four-week campaign means you can reach a target audience of one and a half million visitors. And that s all to do with the power of the cinema. Because watching a film in the cinema is about more than famous actors and special effects. OK, the film is the main purpose of a visit to the cinema but it s the whole experience of cinema-going that makes the cinema the perfect advertising medium. Cinema-going is number one activity when it comes to having an experience*. But that s not really surprising because going to the film is a way of relaxing, an experience that captivates one s attention and is something you can share together with friends or family that accompany you. When cinemavisitors decide to go to the cinema, it becomes a whole cinema experience. And this influences the way they look at cinema advertising. 4 Facts & figures Admit it, watching a film in the cinema is a great experience, isn t it? The Film Survey Board can confirm this in any case. Each year it publishes the Cinema Monitor that reviews the trends in the film industry as well as a profile of the Dutch cinemagoer and pene tration per age category. And what does it find? The cinema is a big draw for both young and old! The Cinema Monitor is published on behalf of the industry organisations for cinemas and film distributors (NVB and NVF). The most recent Cinema Monitor revealed that: The Netherlands has more than 30 million cinemavisitors each year, almost 7.3 million of whom are unique cinemavisitors (16+) Longevity is leading to an increasing number of older cinemavisitors In terms of percentage, the highest penetration is among the 24 to 29 year-olds. In absolute terms, penetration was highest among the 40 to 54 year-olds: some two million. And the level of penetration is increasing every day! With 30 million cinemavisitors a year, the Netherlands is at the same level it was in the 1970s**, before media like VHS, downloading and DVDs had even entered the media landscape. 6 Delivery specifications Below are the delivery specifications for a cinema ad. However, if you have any questions or comments about these specifications, just let us know. To show your cinema advertising in the cinema, the ad must be converted to the right format (DCP). Our technical experts can do this for you free of charge. If you do not have a ready-made ad, we can mediate for you in the production process. Videomateriaal File format:.mov,.mpg4 of.avi Resolution: 1998 x 1080 of 1920 x 1080 Frame rate: 25 fps Title safe area: 10% To ensure good picture quality you must supply non-compressed video material. Too low a picture quality may be cause to reject a file for use. Sound Preferably a non-compressed separate file in.wav, 48 khz, 24 bit at 24 fps. 2.0 or 5.1 in separate channels. Maximum decibels 85dB as measured with Dolby LEQ meter. Take care that the duration of the sound is as long as the video!
