2 2017 What A Season! Marriott Theatre 2017 Season Dear Subscriber, I couldn t be more excited to announce that every show in the 2017 season is NEW to the Marriott Theatre. Our subscribers will enjoy 5 shows they ve never seen on our stage, and all 5 have played on Broadway within the past 3 years. This season is full of fresh, new shows that will surprise and delight even our longest-subscribing patrons. And one more thing I think you ll be interested in there is no price increase in subscriptions this year! Year after year, one of our subscribers most requested shows is Mamma Mia! Well, I m happy to report that 2017 is the year that wish is granted. There is no better way to escape the Midwestern winter than with this fun-filled trip to a Greek island, set to the cherished tunes of ABBA! Next up is the classic musical comedy She Loves Me, fresh from a smash hit Broadway revival. By the creators of Fiddler on the Roof and Cabaret, She Loves Me is the charming tale of two bickering perfume shop clerks who also happen to be falling in love as pen pals. You may recognize the story from movies like The Shop Around the Corner and You ve Got Mail. In the summer we open the first of 3 regional premieres for Marriott Theatre, The Bridges of Madison County. The runaway hit novel has been beautifully adapted for the stage by Tony Award winner Jason Robert Brown and Pulitzer Prize winner Marsha Norman. After that, a brand-new musical with a throwback appeal, Honeymoon in Vegas! Praised by the New York Times as a real-live, old-fashioned, deeply satisfying Broadway musical in a way few new shows are anymore, you ll want to place a bet on Honeymoon in Vegas! We close the 2017 season with our Marriott Theatre Insiders top choice from our recent season survey, Newsies!
