At home in her vibrant urban neighborhood, but frustrated with a lack of career opportunities, photographer Gina (Melanie Lynskey) accepts a tenure-track college job in Washington State. Her husband Mack (Nelsan Ellis) is a writer struggling to get traction on his new book. Together they move across the country with their pre-teen son Clark (Armani Jackson), rallying together to embark on a future promising fresh air, financial stability, and the joys of homeownership. Small Talk Eighty years old and in assisted living, Ralph Pajovic (the late David Margulies) is involved in a relationship that makes his family anxious in CURMUDGEONS (Danny DeVito, 16 min.). A young woman returns to her hometown neighborhood to make a film about their daily activities, but finds the outdoor bustle is less active during winter season in SMALL TALK (Hilary Campbell, 7 min.). Little Italy transforms from a working class neighborhood of tenement buildings to the third most expensive zip code in the United States in MULBERRY (Paul Stone, 19 min.). A 91-year-old Holocaust survivor donates his violin of 70 years to a local instrument drive, changing the life of a 12-year-old school girl in the Bronx in JOE S VIOLIN (Kahane Cooperman, 24 min.). What kind of birthday present to you give the dad (Ed Asner) who has everything? The two forge an unlikely partnership swindling widows, shopkeeps, and bootleggers, trying to stay one step ahead of the law in their broken down model T. Miles Teller (who made a name for himself in WHIPLASH) stars as Vinny The Pazmanian Devil Pazienza, a Rhode Island boxer who shot to stardom after winning two world title fights. After a near-fatal car accident left Vinny with a broken neck, he was told he may never walk again. Dear Director Shot primarily in Narrowsburg, NY in the fall of 2015, THE RENOVATION follows a restaurant owner in a small town as she faces foreclosure, and a young writer returning to his home when tragedy strikes his family (Brian O Neill, 24 min.). BARNBURNER focuses on the struggles of Andy, a young woman in a small Catskills town (shot in Kenoza Lake, NY) aspiring to be a boxer against all odds (Chloe Aktas, 14 min.). Filmed in Callicoon, NY, CHILDREN WILL LISTEN is the intense story of the cycle of abuse as a child who witnesses his parents troubled relationship imagines his future (Dustin Scully, 10 min.). DEAR DIRECTOR is a hybrid documentary based on a real fan letter written by Callicoon resident and jazz pianist Kazzrie Jaxen in 1980 to filmmaker Ingmar Bergman (Marcus Lindeen, 14 min.).

In the late 1960s, Eva Hesse, a 34 year-old German-born American artist was cresting the wave of a swiftly rising career. One of the few women recognized as central to the New York art scene, she had over 20 group shows scheduled for 1970 in addition to being chosen for a cover article in ArtForum Magazine. Her work was finally receiving both the critical and commercial attention it deserved. When she died in May, 1970 from a brain tumor, the life of one of that decades most passionate and brilliant artists was tragically cut short. Her work is now held by many important museum collections including the Whitney, MoMA, and London s Tate Modern. 2016, 108 min.
