3 Large Auditorium We host keynotes, symposia, demo days, and other large programs in our largest event space. A retractable wall can be extended to break the room into the Medium and Small Auditoriums. Features: 170 theatre-style seats, stage, podium, living room furniture, high boy tables, buffet tables, MATTER banner, 3 screens, full AV, a back door for kitchen access, and registration tables in the hallway.

4 Medium Auditorium The retractable wall in the Large Auditorium separates it into the Medium Auditorium, occupying 2/3 of the full space. Here, we host pitch competitions, receptions, and lectures. Features: 100 theatre-style seats, podium, living room furniture, high boy tables, buffet tables, MATTER banner, 2 screens, full AV, a back door for kitchen access, and registration tables in the hallway.

5 Small Auditorium The Small Auditorium occupies 1/3 of the full space when the retractable wall is closed. Here, we host meetings, brainstorming sessions, webinars, and workshops. Features: 25 theatre-style seats or 15 boardroomstyle seats, swivel or plastic chairs, tables, 1 screen, full AV, whiteboard wall with dry erase markers, and a back door for kitchen access.

6 Classroom In the Classroom, we host workshops, small receptions, and large roundtables. Features: 50 theatre-style seats or 26 boardroom style seats, swivel or plastic chairs, tables, 1 screen, full AV, and dry erase markers.

7 Room Capacities & Setup MATTER s event space can be customized to fit your needs. The diagram at right indicates room format while the chart below displays how many chairs each room can comfortably accommodate. 10 FAQ How far in advance should I book? We suggest 3 months for multi-day events, 2 months for full day and evening events in the auditorium, and 1 month for workshops in the Classroom. Wednesdays and Thursdays are busiest, but availability varies so please provide alternate dates if possible. What are the AV capabilities? Stream your presentation, host a web conference, and play music or video from your device while connected to our system. If you book the Large Auditorium, you can either sync all three screens to one computer or connect up to three devices to the system. We recommend presentations projected in a widescreen aspect ratio (16:9 or 16:10). Do non-profit organizations receive a discount? Yes, contact event staff for details. Is The Mart accessible by public transportation? The Mart is directly serviced by Brown and Purple line EL trains, and a short distance from lines that service O Hare and Midway. Ogilvie and Union Transportation Stations and CTA bus stops (22, 37, 125, 134, 135, 136, or 156) are also within walking distance. Is parking available? The Mart validates parking in the lot at 210 N. Wells Street down to $ In addition, there are two Mart-specific lots nearby: Mart Parc Wells & Mart Parc Orleans. Metered parking is also available along Kinzie Ave. Please be advised parking in either of the Mart s access drives will result in your vehicle being towed or ticketed. How can my caterer access the Mart s loading dock? The dock is open Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm. Please contact the Mart directly regarding extended times for delivery and pickup at (312)
