Every month, country music fans meet to listen to nearly three hours of live country music. We throw open the doors extra early, with the bar opening at 6pm and the show starting at 7pm. Gaslight The College Players A Victorian Thriller by Patrick Hamilton In Victorian London, a woman fears that she is going mad and will end her days in a lunatic asylum. Then a man she has never met before arrives. Will he be her saviour or is he just a figment of her imagination? 2

3 The Jordan Marsh Band Jordan Marsh returns to Brentwood Theatre with his four piece band for an evening of piano based Jump Blues, Swing, and Rocking Boogie Woogie. Jordan Marsh brings his almost big band back to Brentwood for one night only. O C T O B E R October 8pm 15 8 October 2:30pm 12 / 10 conc. Expect to hear a quirky twist on well-known songs from artists such as Ray Charles, Louis Jordan and Chuck Berry to name but a few. The Melvin Beddow Big Band A special afternoon showcasing a wide variety of big band music. The Melvin Beddow Big Band, live in concert. The band and featured vocalists present an afternoon of varied Big Band music from their extensive repertoire for your enjoyment. The diverse programme will include numbers made famous by great swing bands such as Glenn Miller, Duke Ellington, Count Basie and Ted Heath, together with some contemporary features a little Latin, and perhaps something funky. Enlightenment The New Venture Players A study of parental grief and hope amidst uncertainty. At three o clock in the morning, this is what I think, somebody killed him. They killed him, God, I don t know how I am uttering these words they killed him because he s white and western and they hated him. And it wasn t personal. 4 Dirty Rotten Scoundrels The Musical Brentwood Operatic Society A hysterical musical comedy that is sophisticated and suave with a good dash of mischief O C T O B E R October 7:30pm 2:30pm (Sat matinee) October 7: Lawrence Jameson makes his lavish living by talking rich ladies out of their money. Freddy Benson more humbly swindles women by waking their compassion with fabricated stories about his grandmother s failing health. After meeting on a train, they attempt to work together, only to find that this small French town isn t big enough for the two of them. They agree on a settlement: the first one to extract $50,000 from a young female target, heiress, Christine Colgate, wins, and the other must leave town. The Close Up Show Chris Wood Real Magic - Real Close An intimate evening of close-up magic, trickery and sleight of hand in the company of top magicians from the famous Magic Circle. Three performers will amaze and entertain from just inches away! Close-up magic is one of the most popular and impressive forms of the art and this unique event showcases some of the best exponents. Performers vary with each show and a strictly limited audience get to experience the magic in an intimate setting, often taking part themselves. Prepare to be astonished! Lewis classic 'The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe' sees four English school children evacuated from their home who stumble across Narnia, a magical realm covered in snow and ice. Along the way they befriend some of the talking animals and mythical creatures who inhabit Narnia. The children are each given a special gift which will help them assist Aslan, The Great Lion, to defeat The White Witch.
