WhitE WavE FEStivaLS WHite WAVe produces two annual festivals with the goal of showcasing the work of emerging and established choreographers and dance companies from across the United States and abroad. the 14th Annual DUMBo DAnCe FeStiVAl (Sept ) is a 4-day marathon showcase featuring the freshest and most original contemporary artists, with up to 8 different companies in each hour of programming. in contrast, the 9th Annual WAVe rising SerieS (oct. 23 nov. 10) provides a perfect opportunity for choreographers with limited resources to produce full-length programs and serves many as their new York season. RiSiNG choreographer RESiDENcY PROGRaM to be an even greater catalyst for the expansion of dance/arts, this year marks the first in space grants at WHite WAVe John ryan theater. the program (July. 15 oct. 7)will grant the necessary resources for artists to experiment and create new work in an encouraging and dynamic space, with the support of professional mentors and advisors.
