THE NORTHERN ONTARIO FILM STUDIOS is situated in Sudbury the heart of the film and television industry up North. With unmatched access to a wide variety of locations, production equipment housed on site and a secure and flexible studio space unlike anything north of Toronto, NOFS is the perfect base of operations for shooting any film or television production in Northern Ontario. NOFS features a 16,000 square foot single span main stage floor, on- and off-site production offices, a Hair and Makeup room, a prop shop, a craft kitchen, laundry facilities ample parking. 2,000 square feet of office space, and fibre optic wi-fi throughout the studio. You can base your entire production on site. NOFS is the only facility of its kind in Northern Ontario. Our assortment of flats, doors, desks, and flooring are the building blocks for creating a wide variety of sets. With access to locally available building materials and supplies to fill the gaps, everything you need to build your set is right here in the Studio. THE NORTHERN ONTARIO FILM STUDIOS has invested in a fleet of vehicles to meet the needs of unit shoots in Northern Ontario. Housed on site, the Sudbury fleet has the workings of a complete mobile unit Hair/ Makeup and Wardrobe trailers, camera trucks and trailers, mobile offices, and rest trailers for both cast and crew. As a production films in multiple locations, they need the accessibility of bringing the entire production wherever they go. 7 EQUIPMENT The Northern Ontario Film Studios is a one-stop shop for all film equipment needed for your production. Minutes away, you can feel confident that you will get what you need without the burden of shipping it from Toronto. With our in-house partners at William F. White, our inventory includes a complete array of film and television lighting (including HMI & Tungsten, SourceMaker Balloon Lighting), grip equipment and an extensive fleet of crystal sync generators (from 3kW to Twin Pack 200kW tractor mounted units). We also carry a wide range of remote heads and cranes, camera cars and related specialty, state-of-the-art production equipment and expendables able to accommodate any size production in Northern Ontario.
