3 Draft Itinerary (subject to change) DECEMBER 2017 Thr 07 BRISBANE TO LOS ANGELES ON QANTAS AIRWAYS Meet your DATW Tour Director at the Airport for check in. On arrival in Los Angeles, your Tour Director will be on hand to assist you through Passport Control, Customs and Baggage Claim. Transfer on arrival to Anaheim check is at 4pm 5 night s accommodation Howard Johnson s Anaheim ** A 3.5 star hotel located across the road from The Disneyland Resort. The hotel has a swimming pool, Pirates Waterpark, spa, games room, laundry facilities and a convenience store. Each room has 2 double beds, fridge, television, coffee maker, IDD telephone and hairdryer. The hotel is located close to a number of family style restaurants, McDonalds and Downtown Disney an area with many specialty stores, restaurants and AMC Movie Theatres. Afternoon sightseeing to Hollywood, Venice Beach and Santa Monica. HOLLYWOOD MILLENNIUM DANCE COMPLEX CLASSES AND SIGHSTEEING Morning classes (2) at Millennium Dance Complex (parents cannot view workshops) including coach transfer. Coach and local guide to collect parents and dancers. Afternoon sightseeing in Downtown LA, Beverly Hills, Rodeo Drive and Sunset Blvd. HOLLYWOOD UNIVERSAL STUDIOS AND PERFORMANCE Perform at Universal Studios City Walk outside the park in the Entertainment area, then enjoy a full Day at Universal Studios including admission and transfers to/from Anaheim. Take the world famous Studio Tour where you will visit the Universal Studios Backlot, home of Universal Pictures. You will pass through working sound stages where many blockbuster movies were filmed. Ride the Revenge of the Mummy, Jurassic Park & visit the Waterworld and Shrek shows as well as many other attractions including the Simpsons Ride! HOLLYWOOD DEBBIE REYNOLDS CLASSES AND FAREWELL DINNER Morning class at Debbie Reynolds Dance Studio (parents cannot view workshops) including coach transfer. Free afternoon, then Farewell Dinner at a local restaurant. LOS ANGELES TO BRISBANE WITH QANTAS AIRWAYS OR EXTEND YOUR STAY IN THE USA 1 Group transfer to the Airport for late evening flight. ARRIVE BRISBANE **Above inclusions may be re-scheduled on different days dependent on confirmation of Dance Performance dates. Exact days for each component will be advised 2 weeks prior to departure. If you would like to book any additional day tours we suggest you extend your stay in the USA after the Dance Package.

4 Who can come? Performers/Students must be at least 12yo as of 7 th December All students under 18yo MUST be accompanied by an Adult/Family Member who will be responsible for them the entirety of the trip. If over 18yo, please note the drinking age in USA is 21yo. Therefore you re not at legal age in USA. Adult dance students are welcome to apply as well. Families of the student can apply eg. Mum, Dad, brothers, sisters, etc. (take the whole family!). Must successfully pass an in-house audition at Backstreet (receive a written acceptance letter). Must be a current student or parent of Backstreet Dance (from now up until the end of Tour). Performers must have completed at least 2 terms of dance during 2016 and must also continue with regular classes and perform at the End of Term Productions. Must obtain good behaviour in and out of the class and studio every applicant must submit a reference upon application. Must be fit to travel. Must have a passport and adequate travel insurance. Must have a current Blue Card if over 18 years old. Must have a minimum of $1000 spending money for food and unexpected expenses/events. Must have no criminal record. Must have a positive enthusiastic attitude. Must be available to attend weekly rehearsals and a series of professional development workshops and private lessons during Term 2, 3 & Term 4 of Why come? Gain a positive experience with like-minded people Learn more about dance from Disney and other dance studios Gain a valuable experience performing overseas The opportunity to go overseas and see many new places Professional and personal development When is it? We plan to fly out approximately 7 th December 2017, pending flights which can only be confirmed 12 months in advance. Can we fundraise? Yes, individually. No, not as a whole group. From experience, we found it more beneficial that students/families fundraise individually or in small groups they form themselves. More information and conditions will be distributed after acceptance (outlined in your Agreement). Travel after the Tour? After the dance package is complete, families may extend their stay in the USA, subject to availability and as per the conditions of Travel Around the World as below: ADDITIONAL ARRANGEMENTS The group must fly together from Australia to the USA. At the end of the Dance Package your family may extend their stay on the Mainland USA/Canada eg. Las Vegas, New York, San Francisco etc. all subject to availability. First date change is FREE any further changes will incur a fee of $50 per person. You must return to Los Angeles for your return flight home except if stopping in Honolulu. Air tickets cannot be changed to Round World tickets or to return home via another continent eg. Asia, Europe, South America. We can provide a quotation for any additional arrangements including car hire, sightseeing, accommodation, domestic USA flights, cruises etc. Brochures will be available on the Deposit Day.** We suggest you change your return dates quickly after the deposit date to avoid disappointment. STOPOVERS A stopover is available in Honolulu on the way home only. Cost is Adult $200 or Child $ years per person plus accommodation costs. These stopover seats are very limited - please change your flights urgently.

Upon your acceptance, more details will be given to you outlining everything you need to know. You have the option of declining the Agreement or accepting it. Therefore there is no obligation at this time until you sign the Agreement (after you pass the audition process). After Acceptance, you will also receive the Tour Director s contact details where you can contact her at anytime to ask specific questions on costings/the packages, etc. IMPORTANT Please refrain from asking Reception any questions relating to USA (as Reception are focussed on the daily running of the studio). 7 How to apply? 1. OBTAIN & COMPLETE APPLICATION FORM at the Forms Counter or on website. Please keep in mind the Application form is not obligation to pay or secure a spot. It is merely to express your interest at this stage. 2. SUBMIT APPLICATION Submit the application form to Reception before 26 th Aug RECEIVE AUDITION DETAILS Auditions will be held in October 2016/early Term 4. More details, times and requirements, etc will be released during Term ATTEND THE AUDITION You will have 2 dates to choose from released Term 3 5. GAIN ACCEPTANCE/NON-ACCEPTANCE LETTER You will receive a letter of acceptance or non-acceptance during the week of 24 th October 2016 (along with an Agreement: An outline of conditions and expectations and also the 2017 Rehearsal Schedule). 6. CONFIRM ACCEPTANCE If, after reading through all the details and conditions, you decide to accept, you must sign and return your Agreement to Backstreet Dance by 10th November 2016 along with a $100 non-refundable deposit (for Backstreet) (which will be outlined in the Agreement). 7. TOUR DIRECTOR The DATW (Dance Around the World) Director will fly up to Brisbane to hold a compulsory meeting in approximately Februrary 2017 with those who have been accepted. She will also collect deposits for DATW. $500 per person, non-refundable (payable on the day of the meeting). 8. PAY INSTALMENTS TO DATW The total cost will be divided up into instalments. 10 Please tick the boxes if you agree to the following statements: REQUIREMENTS I am a current member of Backstreet Dance. I follow the Backstreet philosophy and code of conduct when in the studio. I have attached a reference from a School Teacher (if under 18yo) or from an employer/colleague (if over 18yo) outlining that I am a reliable, responsible, honest person and attain good/appropriate behaviour. Note: The reference must contain the name, signature and contact number. The reference cannot be from a family member/relative. If performing, I am/will be at least 12yo by 7 th December I am fit to travel. I have/will have a passport at least 6 months before travel and have at least 12 months on my passport. I will also obtain adequate travel insurance (through Dance Around the World or through my own preferred insurance company). I am responsible and reliable. If I successfully pass the Audition and am accepted and I agree and sign the Agreement, I am willing to pay the non-refundable deposit of $100 to Backstreet Dance. I am also willing to take responsibility to pay any other deposits or instalments promptly i.e. without being chased up for it. I understand I must commit to once a week rehearsals during Term 2, 3 & I understand I must be professional at rehearsals, inside the studio and on the trip.
