We ve got some great new shows for you this season, and some popular returning favourites, with the usual mix of comedy, music, dance and great evenings out. This year sees us celebrating our 40th birthday, and the big event is on August 12th, when we ll be throwing open our doors for a street party style celebration. This free event will include live entertainment, loads of fun and games for the children and free tea and birthday cake for everyone, so come and join the party! We ll also be displaying photos and articles from our first 40 years, and would love to see some of your memories, so do bring along your photos / clippings. 27 AWARD WINNING PRODUCTION BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND Book by Terrence McNally Music & Lyrics by David Yazbek Winners of the National Operatic and Dramatic Association Award for Best Musical, Stamford Amateur Musical Society (SAMS), are baring all and bringing their production of the much loved musical The Full Monty to The Cresset this November. Building on their huge success in Stamford, SAMS are aiming for even bigger and better things as they begin preparations for this exciting production. The musical is based on the famous 1997 British film, with one small difference it s set in Buffalo, New York State instead of Sheffield! The year kicks off with the incredible McCartney, a stunning tribute to one of the most iconic music stars of all time on 17th January. There s loads more music in the Spring too, with welcome returns for From The Jam, The Fureys, Voulez Vous and new shows including Be Bop A Lula, Get Ready and the UK Stones to name but a few!
