Canada Day & Parade July 1 THE CELEBRATION!!!!! Canada Week July 1 8 (COBOURG 2017 SIGNATURE EVENT) Canada Week in Cobourg will be a week of immersive, fun and historical activities that will enliven and animate Cobourg each day!! Whether the annual Waterfront festival, a community celebration, World Record Attempt Canada Week provides locals and citizens with opportunities to learn about our history and heritage, to take in music, culture and celebrate our great nation. Events included Time Capsule, Confederation Tea, Cobourg Tartan Day, 150 Day, Art Show at the CCC Iron Orr Car day. July 1 will be celebrated with Fireworks and July 8 will conclude the week with Fireworks.

July 13, 14,15, 20,21,22 7:30p.m. and July 15, 16, 22 at 2:00p.m. Victoria Hall at Concert Hall presented by the VOS Northumberland Film Sundays - A Celebration of Canada 150 through Film. 5 Other Projects The 150 Challenge Cobourg Public Library challenge the community to read as many Canadian books as they can over 150 days. The list of books will be displayed at the CPL. Prizes The Story of Canada s History Book to be published by the Cobourg Museum Foundation and provided to the over residents mailboxes of Cobourg History of Sports in Cobourg over 65 sports in Cobourg are being researched and written. Watch for displays at the CCC etc. Celebrating 150 years: Discovering Cobourg s Heritage presented by the ACO Cobourg & East Northumberland. (Summer 2017) Signs will be placed outside all building and houses that were standing in 1867 within the Town limits. Photographs and historical information will be linked with each building on a mpa of Cobourg (available online) potential walking and bike tours of these buildings 150 Famous Cultural Shakespeare Scenes TBD ARTSTOWN Cobourg Downtown Cobourg empty Storefronts will become pop-up galleries Paint the Town Red- Red and White Flowers, Canadian Flags etc. Canada 150 Cobourg 2017 CD Music from the ages with the Concert Band of Cobourg will be debuted on Canada Day Northumberland New Ventures Band song written for Canada 150 celebrations to be at free concert during Canada Week.
