2 WHO WE ARE Bassani s history dates back to 1860 as Shipping Agents, but it was in 1930 that the Company expanded to the Travel Industry. Since then, Bassani developed and grew in both Shipping and Travel industries to become a leading company in the following activities: Incoming Tour Operator started operations in 1930 Destination Management Company active since the 1980s Cruise Ground Handler and Shore Excursions Operator created in the 1950s Travel Agent IATA agent since 1947 Shipping Agents in operation since 1860 Insurance and Forwarding Agent in operation since 1860 Bassani Group is owned and managed since 3 generations by the Olivetti family, who acquired the Company in the 1940 s. Total staff at Bassani: 48 people
