18 Ipad Accessibility Functions Voiceover- Screen Reader The speaking rate in VoiceOver is adjustable so you can set it to a speed that best suits you. VoiceOver uses distinctive sound effects to alert you when an application opens, when the screen is updated, when a message dialog appears, and more. And when VoiceOver is talking, the volume of background sounds and music is automatically lowered, ducking under the voice, so you can clearly hear what VoiceOver is telling you. Zoom lets you magnify the entire screen of any application you re using to help you see what s on the display. Speak Selection will read you the highlighted text and give you formatting options like cut, copy, and paste.

29 App for students with physical limitations who want to play instruments like guitar, electric guitar, banjo, mandolin, ukulele, steel drum, or drum pads. The instruments are the same size as the real thing thanks to the large ipad screen (except the steel drum). Using the touch screen, you select the right chord or sound and then play it with just a touch or strum. This is also a great app if don t own all of these instruments or can t carry them with you. 32 A great app for kids or teens who like to rap or listen to Rap music. It is extremely easy. All you do is say a few sentences into the microphone and it creates a beat and auto-tunes your voice to fit the time. Anyone can sound like a pro! Plus it s FREE!

33 Initiate songwriting ideas by using several of the touch generators. One generator has a list of emotion words. Once you select one of the emotion words, you then scroll through a variety of short phrase ideas connected with that emotion. You can also select a thesaurus or rhyming dictionary for help. Once you type out some lyrics, you can record what you have so far and the recording is stored within that song s page.
