1 Designer Banded Shades Designer Banded Shades feature a combination of sheer and solid fabric bands in a single shade. Alternating sheer fabric with solid fabric allows one piece of fabric to transition from open to closed providing a modern solution for view-through, light control and privacy. s are available in a variety of textures, colors, band heights, opacities and geometric designs. features shade-to-shade lift uniformity and minimal light gap that is even on both sides. UltraGlide features a single retractable cord that offers enhanced safety. UltraGlide operates with a pump-up/pumpdown action to adjust the bands to the desired position. s are available in light-filtering or room-darkening opacity. The combination of solid fabric bands with sheer fabric bands determines the amount of view-through. Each fabric style has a standard band height of small, medium or large. Band height cannot be specified. Choose a fabric with a band height that best meets view-through preferences. A Square Cassette comes standard with each Designer Banded shade. Exclusive to Hunter Douglas, the innovative bottom bar allows the shade to taper and narrow from top to bottom. Cassette is available fabric-wrapped or unwrapped. Uses a single retractable cord that remains a constant length when the shade is raised or lowered. 10 Design Options BAND HEIGHT Band heights are available in 3 sizes: Small, Medium and Large. Select a fabric with a band height that suits your viewthrough preference. Stated band heights on each style can vary slightly and are within industry standards. Small Band: Solid band height: 2 7 /8" Sheer band height: 2" to 2 1 /8" Medium Band: Solid band height: 3" to 3 1 /8" Sheer band height: 1 7 /8" to 2 1 /8" Large Band Solid band height: 3 7 /8" to 4 5 /8" Sheer band height: 2 3 /4" to 3 1 /4" SIDE-BY-SIDE SHADES Side-by-side shade must be specified on the order form. Side-by-side band alignment can only be guaranteed within 1 /4" if: shades are ordered at the same time and in the identical style, color, height, operating system and application, and the combined width dimension provided in the chart below is not exceeded. For a combined width greater than shown in the chart, side-by-side band alignment can only be guaranteed within 3 /8". Note s Coastal and Evoke (Geometric Designs) have the geometric pattern centered on the shade. Shades of different widths could have a different look since each shade is centered individually. For side-by-side shades, the pattern is still centered but keep in mind the pattern could be at a different point on the sides of each shade. When the bands are positioned to the open position, the bottom bar raises up slightly, approximately half the width of the solid band height. On an inside mount application, the bottom bar will be slightly above the window sill. Or on an outside mount slightly above the bottom of the window opening. HARDWARE COLORS To simplify the design process, hardware colors are pre-selected to best coordinate with each fabric. Or choose your own for a custom look with the hardware color override option, free of charge. Hardware colors apply to plastic bead chain, cord tensioner, bottom bar treatments/end caps and cassette profiles/end caps. Eight hardware colors are available to coordinate with each fabric: White Tiara 661 Rich Cream 320 Desert Tan 859 Desert Gold 903 Duchess Grey 651 Nickel 316 Bronze 064 Black 048 -Wrapped Bottom Bar CASSETTE Available either fabric wrapped or unwrapped, the cassette top treatment conceals the fabric roll and lifting system with a sleek square design providing a clean, finished look. Available in two sizes, small and large, and in all eight custom hardware colors. The cassette comes wrapped with two layers of the solid and sheer banded fabric to emulate the look of the shade. When multiple shades are ordered in the same fabric and same cassette size, band position on the cassettes will be consistent for uniformity within the room. Cassette size, small or large, is predetermined based on the shade size ordered. For aesthetic consistency within a room where you have different size shades, you can request the larger cassette size for all shades.
