1 2 Performance Notes This piece provides a good ringing foundation for choirs who are early in their formation Repeated patterns provide elements for quick learning when those patterns are isolated and rehearsed The steady quarter-note rhythms, especially in the bass, provide an opportunity for teaching that all notes of the same value don t have the same weight Take care not to allow the handbell musicians to bang away at the steady quarter rhythm Additionally, the quarter-half-quarter patterns allow the opportunity to teach that the weight or accent in 4 can be on beat 2 They will help produce a more musical product Tempo changes provide added opportunity for teaching your choir to watch the conductor I hope you enoy playing this piece!
