2 Green Lake Festival of Music The Green Lake Festival of Music, Inc. is a non-profit corporation whose mission is to entertain, inspire, and educate through musical performances and activities of the highest quality. Dear Friends of the Green Lake Festival of Music For nearly forty years, the Festival has carried out a mission to entertain, inspire, and educate through musical performances and activities of the highest quality. Since our founding in 1979, our program has grown to include not only our flagship concert series, featuring top-quality artists from throughout the U.S. and beyond, but a two-week chamber music camp for high school and college students, an adult choral institute, and the Thomas E. Caestecker series of free family concerts. Our board is conducting a Legacy Fund Appeal to sustain and expand our mission through the next 40 years. Bringing classical music to the next generation of Central Wisconsin residents will be a great gift to our families. We thank you for your ongoing support of the Green Lake Festival of Music! 3 Legacy Fund Appeal The Festival Board, as part of its 40th anniversary in 2019, is conducting a Legacy Fund Appeal. The goal is to raise an additional $1 million over the next three years to strengthen the current Endowment Fund, so that the Festival can continue to thrive for the next 40 years. The Endowment Fund currently has $500,000, thanks to legacy gifts given over the years first from Lucile Grams, later from George Miller, and more recently, annual gifts from The Grainger Foundation. Strengthening the finances allows the Board and Staff to enhance and expand the mission of the Green Lake Festival of Music. Specifically, the fund will enable the Festival to: Expand its ability to offer free concerts (to add to free-will offerings) Expand the number of scholarships available to Chamber Music Camp students and Choral Institute participants Begin an outreach program to the area public schools for classical music awareness Endow specific programs, such as: The Hilton Head and Cleveland International Piano Competition winners in solo recitals at Thrasher Opera House Augment the professional staff to meet the Festival s artistic excellence Community outreach to schools, seniors, and area groups Touring Festival concerts to expand audience and support 2-2 -

4 Gift Giving Options In order to raise $1 million, the Festival Board is asking its friends and supporters to consider giving one or more of these types of gifts: THREE-YEAR PLEDGE Cash, stocks, real estate and/or insurance policies given over a three-year period. CHARITABLE REMAINDER TRUST This becomes an asset owned by the Green Lake Festival of Music, but the earnings go to the donor until the time that the donor decides they no longer need the earnings or at the time of their passing. BEQUEST A designated amount or percentage that would come to the Green Lake Festival of Music upon the passing of the donor. Donors may designate the use of their gift to endow one or more of the Green Lake Festival of Music programs. Naming opportunities are also available to secure the future of the Choral Institute, Chamber Music Camp or one of the Annual Concert Performances.
